Donald Trump's former acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller claims the January 6 committee threatened to 'make his life hell' if he kept claiming his former boss authorized National Guard deployment during the Capitol riot.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, the former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center said he became 'fearful' of aggressive tactics by members of the Democrat-led panel who tried to stop him speaking publicly about a narrative that didn't align with their final report.
Miller's bombshell claims follow a report by Republican Rep. Barry Loudermilk that reveals the committee withheld a transcript from an interview with a top White House official where he told Vice Chair Liz Cheney and other staffers that Trump did want to deploy troops.
Cheney did not immediately respond to a request for comment on whether she or any other members of the Select Committee corresponded with witnesses in a way that could be interpreted as threatening.

Information on Russian Terrorist Attack: (Updates Following)
1. Event and Venue: A terrorist attack occurred at the Crocus Concert Hall in Moscow during a sold-out event. The hall, capable of hosting 6,200 patrons for the event, has a maximum capacity of over 9,500 people.
2. Pre-Attack Warning: On March 7, The U.S. and British Embassies both released Travel Warnings in Moscow issued warnings, advising citizens to avoid large gatherings due to reports of "extremists" planning imminent attacks targeting mass events, including concerts.
3. Casualties and Injuries: Initial reports from Russian authorities estimate the death toll between 40 to 100, with the FSB later confirming at least 40 fatalities. Over 100 individuals were injured, and the numbers are expected to rise. Injured individuals are being evacuated, some via helicopters.
4. Emergency Response: A vast team of hundreds to thousands of Russian police officers, soldiers, firefighters, and paramedics was dispatched to the scene. Special Forces, including units from the Federal Security Service (FSB) and Special Rapid Response Unit, have engaged in operations inside the building due to a supposed hostage situation.
5. Hostage Situation: Earlier reports, which have yet to be verified, indicated that gunmen inside the Crocus Concert Hall were holding several dozen concertgoers as hostages. This led to a standoff, with Special Forces engaged in efforts to rescue the hostages and neutralize the threat.
6. Attackers: There are claims that 4 out of possibly 5 heavily-armed gunmen have fled the scene. Witnesses describe the attackers as having large black beards, wearing bulletproof vests, and wielding machine guns. The attackers' vehicle, suspected of being rigged with explosives, was located in the parking lot and has been cordoned off.
Russian media are reporting that law enforcement has arrested five employees of the Crocus Concert Hall and Shopping Center for questioning in relation to the ongoing terrorist attack.
The White House has announced that currently, there is no evidence suggesting Ukraine or Ukrainians were involved in the terrorist attack on the Crocus Concert Hall in Moscow. Ukraine has denied any involvement in the incident.
Mykhailo Mykhailovych Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian president's office, has asserted that Ukraine had no involvement in the terrorist attack.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has stated that the current terrorist attack in Moscow is a deliberate provocation by the Putin regime, a scenario about which the international community had been warned.
7. Government and Security Measures: Following the attack, the Mayor of Moscow, under FSB orders, canceled all mass gatherings in the city for the weekend. Security checkpoints have been established, with all exits from Moscow blocked and thorough checks being conducted along the Moscow Ring Road. Additional security measures have been implemented at Moscow airports.
8. Evacuations and Precautions: In the wake of the attack, evacuations occurred in other Russian cities as a precaution. Notably, the Galereya Shopping Center and Theatre in St. Petersburg were evacuated. Other Russian cities have also begun to cancel mass events.
9. Investigation: The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case regarding the terrorist act, initiating a formal investigation into the attack.
10. Damage: The terrorist attack led to a massive fire at the Crocus Concert Hall and caused a partial collapse of the venue's roof.
Despite the efforts of Russian fire crews, the Crocus Concert Hall in Moscow continues to collapse. Special Forces teams are still inside the building, attempting to find survivors amidst the ongoing crisis.
11. Media Response: Despite the gravity of the attack, Russian federal TV channels did not interrupt their programming to report on the incident immediately. They continue to air regular programming.
