The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted Thursday to restore Obama-era net neutrality rules.

The agency voted 3-2 along partisan lines to revive rules barring broadband providers from blocking or throttling internet traffic to some websites and speeding up access to others that pay extra fees.

Yes. Both of these things pissed me off to a great degree today. I even emotionally reacted at first …

With that said, when I take a moment to breathe and take a few steps back to analyze, I can definitely see how BOTH of these things are in our favor.

Why was his conviction overturned? Was it the deep state … ooooooooor did this mother fucker make a deal? I lean towards he talked and made a deal. Same as Maxwell being given nicer digs in prison, for instance.

That is probably why Mika and Joe seemed so fucking nervous while reading about his conviction being overturned. Not only that, but the hypocrisy being displayed is extraordinary.

As for net neutrality? Yeah. Thats bad. Real bad. BUT. Go with me here - Elon has been talking about, or at least hinting at the IBOR or something akin to it recently. To me, Net Neutrality is pushing us closer to an IBOR - which is desperately needed.

So, as shitty as these things are on the surface - I can definitely see the boomerang building within.

BREAKING🚨: The far-right website Gateway Pundit is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the company’s founder said this week.

TGP Communications, the website’s parent company, is seeking protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the Southern District of Florida as a result of what founder Jim Hoft called “the progressive liberal lawfare attacks against our media outlet.”

Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, a voter registration officer in Fulton County, Ga., and her mother, Ruby Freeman, who both served as temporary workers for the 2020 elections, sued the website in 2021 for publishing false claims about them.

As part of their suit, the two workers argue the Gateway Pundit, which has promoted former President Trump’s false claims about voter fraud, “devastated” their reputations, and sparked “threats that has forced them to change their phone numbers, delete their online accounts, and fear for their physical safety.”

The White House on Thursday rejected Speaker Mike Johnson’s call to send the National Guard to quell pro-Palestinian protests at Columbia University, insisting that it’s up to state governors to first request such a move.

“That is something that is under the governors,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters aboard Air Force One. “That is something for the governors to decide.”

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has so far declined to seek federal assistance in managing the protests, which intensified in recent days after Columbia officials invited police onto the campus, resulting in hundreds of arrests.

Free market advisers to Donald Trump are bracing for a renewed effort by protectionist allies of the former president to devalue the dollar, a measure critics say would increase prices and harm living standards.

Supply-side conservatives are worried about a renewed focus by Trump on the dollar, as well as by reported plans from former U.S. Trade Adviser Robert Lighthizer for devaluing the dollar through administrative action. The purpose of devaluing the dollar would be to slash the U.S. trade deficit and reshore manufacturing jobs, both top goals for Trump in a second term.

Not quite the look the man from Burbank was aiming for as he rose to thank powerhouse attorney Joe Cotchett for his support in his bid to replace the late Dianne Feinstein in the U.S. Senate.

“I guess it’s ‘Welcome to San Francisco,’ ” Cotchett’s press agent Lee Houskeeper, who was at the dinner, remarked dryly.

With aides usually walking between Biden and journalists' camera position outside the White House, the visual effect is to draw less attention to the 81-year-old's halting and stiff gait.

Some Biden advisers have told Axios they're concerned that videos of Biden walking and shuffling alone — especially across the grass — have highlighted his age.

The White House also has taken steps to prevent the president from tripping, as he did last summer on a stage at the Air Force Academy.

Donald Trump Jr. appreciates but rejects offer to run NRA

A key member of the National Rifle Association and ally of former President Donald Trump is pitching Donald Trump Jr. to take over for former NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre.

However, a source close to Trump told Secrets this morning that “it’s not something he has any interest in doing.”

The Reload reported today that NRA board member Bill Bachenberg suggested in an email to other board members that Trump would be a good fit to replace LaPierre, who resigned recently after months of legal troubles personally and for the nation’s top gun lobby.
