The CIA blocked the IRS from calling Hunter Biden’s benefactor as a witness in its investigation into the troubled first son, according to documents released Wednesday by House Republicans.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf ordered IRS staff to drop Kevin Morris from its witness list after an August 2021 meeting at CIA headquarters, according to testimony from IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley. It is not clear what the CIA told Wolf about Morris, who has spent at least $6.5 million on Hunter Biden’s legal fees, child support, and luxurious living arrangements in California.

The revelation marks another strange turn in the saga of Hunter Biden’s legal troubles. It has long been unclear why Morris, an entertainment lawyer and Hollywood producer who says he met Hunter Biden at a fundraiser in December 2019, has been willing to spend such an exorbitant amount of money on a man he has only known for a few years.

At the time of the CIA briefing, Hunter Biden was under investigation for allegedly not paying at least $1.4 million in taxes from 2014 through 2019. Morris, an associate told Politico this month, has been financially supporting Hunter Biden for "four and a half years," which implies Morris began bankrolling Hunter Biden since they first met.

All that time, the Biden campaign let the left-wing media, of its own volition, cast aspersions on the diary's authenticity, or dismiss it as a right-wing plant of dubious veracity, another Russia hoax. Just as with Hunter Biden's laptop.

A top official with Joe Biden’s presidential campaign held a call with Nikki Haley supporters on Wednesday, just hours after the former U.N. ambassador announced that she would be voting for Donald Trump.

The Zoom meeting involved Biden’s deputy political director Juan Peñalosa and members of the Haley Voters Working Group, a nonprofit composed of former Haley supporters. And though it had been scheduled prior to Haley’s announcement, the message conveyed didn’t change.

Peñalosa stressed that the campaign would continue to quietly reach out to current and former Republican elected officials who don’t support Trump. The goal wouldn’t just be to win their votes or campaign donations but to potentially offer endorsements of Biden as well.

“They said they’re going to have prominent Republican surrogates, like [former Georgia Lt. Gov.] Geoff Duncan, but that there are others they haven’t announced,” said Robert Schwartz, the executive director of the Haley Voters Working Group. “They separately plan on having Republican volunteers in battleground states talk to other Republicans.”

A top advisor to independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said she is stepping down from her role, citing an "increasingly hateful and divisive atmosphere."

Angela Stanton King, a former Trump supporter and Republican House candidate who served as Kennedy's advisor for Black outreach since joining the campaign last year, announced her decision in a post on X late Tuesday.

"After much reflection, I've decided to step away from the political theatre. The increasingly hateful and divisive atmosphere no longer aligns with my values," Stanton King wrote.
