House GOP lawmaker is spearheading an effort to name the United Statesโ coastal waterways after President Trump.
Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., is introducing a bill on Friday to rename the immediate waters surrounding the U.S., called the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), as the "Donald John Trump Exclusive Economic Zone of the United States."
If passed, it would mandate the name change on any applicable laws, maps, documents and other records.

Speaker Mike Johnsonโs (R-La.) stock appears to have risen after former President Trumpโs โpep rallyโ meeting with House Republicans on Capitol Hill.
Johnson has come under fire from hard-line conservatives for cutting deals with President Biden โ which sparked an effort by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) to remove his gavel โ fueling questions about his future atop the conference.
But on Thursday, Trump sided with Johnson over those in the right flank, lauding the Speakerโs performance in his still nascent leadership tenure and joking to Greene that she should โbe niceโ to Johnson. Greene acknowledged the exchange and said Trump also noted her loyalty to him.

A man has been charged with using threatening behaviour after objects were thrown at the Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage.
The incident occurred while Mr Farage was on an open-top bus, campaigning in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, on Tuesday.
Police said Josh Greally, 28, had been charged with using threatening, abusive, insulting words and behaviour with intent to cause fear.
Mr Greally, from Clowne, Derbyshire, been released on bail to appear at Barnsley Magistrates' Court on 26 June.

A Pentagon-funded company is seeking proposals to feed Americaโs soldiers lab-grown meat in a bid to "reduce the CO2 footprint" at Defense Department outposts.
BioMADE, a public-private company that has received more than $500 million in funding from the Defense Department, announced earlier this month that it is seeking proposals to develop "innovations in food production that reduce the CO2 footprint of food production at ... DoD operational environments," according to an online announcement.
These include "novel cell culture methods suitable for the production of cultivated meat/protein," or lab-grown meat, a product that is still in its experimental phases. This type of meat is grown in a lab from animal cells with the aid of other chemicals, and has emerged as a flashpoint in debates about the efficacy and morality of manufacturing meat products without slaughtering animals.
