Facing a growing global terrorist threat, Biden administration officials are debating expanding cooperation with the Taliban regime in Kabul to help track ISIS-K, the branch of the terrorist group active in Afghanistan, according to two sources familiar with the matter and a former U.S. official.

The administration and other Western governments are scrambling to keep up with the mounting danger ISIS-K poses. Before this year, U.S. and other Western officials believed ISIS-K had the intent but not the ability to orchestrate attacks abroad. But that view changed with the horrific attack at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall concert venue on March 22, which killed 130 people and injured hundreds more. It was the deadliest terrorist attack in Europe since 2004. ISIS-K also launched a major attack in Iran this year that killed dozens, and other plots were disrupted in Europe.

NEW: A former porn star is suing Diddy over claims he trafficked her to have sex with party guests and threatened to blackmail her if she did not comply.

Adria English, whose stage name was Omunique, claimed she first met the musician in 2004 when her boyfriend was auditioning for a Sean John modeling gig.

She alleges she worked parties hosted by Diddy in which she would drink alcohol laced with narcotics like ecstasy and would be asked to flirt with guests.

English said the disgraced rapper, 54, 'groomed' her into sex trafficking and told her to have sex with Jacob Arabov, also known as 'Jacob the Jeweler'.

The lawsuit, filed in New York on Wednesday, claims she had 'forced sexual intercourse' with him and was paid an extra $1,000 compared to the usual fee for working the parties.

Jacob, a woman called Tamiko Thomas who is accused of facilitating the sex trafficking operation and Diddy's entertainment company Bad Boy have been listed as defendants in the lawsuit. English is seeking unspecified damages.

Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team was notified last week by federal authorities in the Southern District of New York that he is a subject of an ongoing criminal investigation, according to two sources familiar with Combs' ongoing legal troubles.

The same sources confirmed that a federal grand jury is hearing evidence as part of the investigation but there is no indication that charges are imminent.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office declined to comment. Combs' lawyers did not respond to a request for comment.

A subject of an investigation is someone who is within the scope of a criminal investigation, according to legal experts. An individual is designated a target when prosecutors likely intend to seek an indictment from the grand jury against the person.

A person's status can be upgraded or downgraded during an investigation. Combs has not received a target letter, the sources said, and the Southern District of New York is not required to send one.
