This man is a Christian Pastor in Nigeria.

In this video he describes the fact that he knows he is living on borrowed time - that Muslim extremists will soon come for him, and he is just waiting for it.

He explains that he has already told his parishioners and family that no ransom shall be paid for him.

In short: The man is fully prepared to die for his faith in Jesus Christ.

But here is the kicker. The gut check if you will - He isn’t afraid. Nope. He is READY.

Because he knows that no matter what these pigs do to him, paradise awaits.

See, to the unbeliever, it makes no sense - but as Christians, we do not fear our exit from this plane, for we know what awaits on the other side - and it ain’t 72 virgins.

This is conviction. This is faith. This is unshakeable courage in the face of unknown, yet palpable and unfathomable darkness and evil.

He isn’t the kind of man to say “what if?”. He isn’t saying “well, what if this happens?”.

No no. He is the kind of man to say “even if”. As in: “Even if you threaten to murder me .. even if you have the axe at the back of my neck .. even if you have the gun to my forehead and cocked with your finger on the trigger .. EVEN IF MY BACK IS AGAINST A CLIFF I WILL NOT RENOUNCE MY FAITH IN MY LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.”

Even. If.

Don’t be a “what if” Christian. Be an “even if” Christian.

Understand that He told us, very clearly, that we will suffer and be persecuted for His namesake.

Understand that at some point, maybe in 5 years, maybe in 10 … maybe in 50, or even more - but at some point in our future as Christians that we will be ostracized. We will be attacked and we will be hunted.

If you are alive when that happens, will you cower and hide His name from your lips? Will you deny him? Or will you profess your undying faith in our Lord & Savior even if it costs you your earthly life?

I know my choice.

I have no desire to hear “depart from me, I never knew you”.

Denying Jesus Christ is not, and will never be an option.

“But whoever denies Me before man, I will also deny him before My Father who is in Heaven.” - Matthew 10:33

A glove is made in the image of a hand. Without a hand inside of it, the glove is useless.

We were created in God’s image.

Without God, we are no better than a handless glove.

I experienced something today that I have never felt.

I’m shook. To my core.

In the best possible way.

When I can put it all into words, I will be writing about it.

I am about my Father’s business, and He put me to work today.

We are but a vessel for His mission. That was shown to me in a very real and tangible way today. My gratitude is immeasurable.

God is good. 🙏🏻🥹

“For we are God's
handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” - Ephesians 2:10

You are not an accident.
You are not random. You are not purposeless. You are God's masterpiece, created with intention for a specific purpose.

The same God who
orchestrated every detail of Jesus' birth - the timing, the place, the people - has orchestrated every detail of your life. You were born at this exact time, in this exact place, with these exact gifts, for such a time as this.

Christmas reminds us that God has a plan. For 4,000 years, He prepared the world for Jesus' arrival.

Every prophet, every promise, every detail was purposeful.

Nothing was wasted.

The same is true for you.
Every experience, every season, every struggle - God is weaving it all together for His purposes.

Your life has meaning.

Your story matters. You are here for a divine reason.

The gift of purpose says: Your life counts. What you do matters.

You were created to make a difference.

Pause and Reflect:

What has God uniquely prepared you to do? What gifts, experiences, or passions has He given you that could be used for His purposes?

Let us pray:

Our father in Heaven, thank You for forming me with intention and purpose.

You shaped my life with care and filled it with meaning that reflects Your heart.

Help me to see myself through Your eyes and to recognize the gifts You have placed within me.

Show me the path You have prepared and give me courage to walk in it with faith.

Remind me that I am not here by accident.

Use my life fully for Your glory.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost I pray.

Amen.
