This is the problem with someone not terribly read up on our military reporting on our military movements.

A Carrier Strike Group is not just the Aircraft Carrier itself.

Strike Groups have the Carrier, as well as 4-5 support ships with them. Sometimes Battleships. Sometimes Missile Cruisers. Sometimes Destroyers. Sometimes all of the above, and all of the time they are accompanied by 1-2 Submarines. All of which are more than capable of defending missile attacks against the group.

My point? The Strike Group sitting there isn’t “suicide”. They’re sitting there and saying “FAFO”. They’re sitting there because they don’t give a single shit about Iran’s missiles because the power represented by that Strike Group dwarfs whatever Iran may choose to throw at it. Not to mention the second Carrier Strike Group also trotting around the same sea.

Ya. Pretty sure they aren’t worried about Iran’s anti-ship missiles.

So now the anonymous sources are leaking to the Fake News that nobody is going to be charged.
