โ—๏ธTsargrad: The assassination was โ€œorganized at the highest level.โ€ An โ€œexcruciating deathโ€ is a signal to Russia and China. โ€œThey are killing everyone who supports Russia and China.โ€ โ€” sources

It is reported that local authorities promptly sent 8 ambulances to the site of the alleged crash. Earlier, the IRIB TV channel reported that the situation is seriously complicated by weather conditions, which prevents rescuers from reaching the scene of the incident, said Tsargrad columnist Ilya Golovnev.

According to the latest information, the location of the helicopter of Iranian President Raisi was found, rescuers are approaching the scene. This is reported by Press TV.

Immediately after the incident, Israel was quick to deny its participation in the crash of the helicopter, on board which was Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry. Earlier in the Arab media, there was a version that the crash of the helicopter was an attempted assassination of Raisi, carried out as a result of sabotage by Israeli security services in collusion with Azerbaijan, with whose leader the Iranian leader had met not long before the crash.

Azerbaijan is a latent ally of Israel. If it turns out that Raisi was killed, all this will end in a big Transcaucasian war,

- says war correspondent Alexei Zhivov.

Ayatollah Al-Hashem, the governor of Eastern Azerbaijan, was also present in the helicopter. According to some reports, the vehicle made a hard landing near the village of Uzi. The area is inaccessible, making it extremely difficult for rescue services to operate.

The Mehr publication initially reported that Raisi was alive, but the news was hastily deleted afterward. Later, the US publication Politico wrote that the incident involving the Iranian president is โ€œseriousโ€ and โ€œthere is a high probability of injuries.โ€

The Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) also reported that โ€œsome unofficial sources say that some companions of the Iranian president died an agonizing deathโ€ at the crash site.

Assassination versions

At the same time, a security source in Iran believes the helicopter may have been shot down:

โ€œThis puts us in front of a very serious and dangerous security event. We are facing the possibility of a โ€œmajor assassination attemptโ€ or an actual assassination.

Political scientist Sergei Markov points out that if it is indeed a terrorist attack, Israel could be behind it. It could also be radical Sunni Islamic groups. And, of course, there is always a threat of a terrorist attack from the three main terrorist organizations in the world: ISIS*, the SBU, and the Ukrainian Defense Ministryโ€™s GUR. For all of them, Iran is an enemy.

In turn, US officials believe that Iranian President Raisi has been assassinated. Biden was informed about the situation with the helicopter. A short time later, journalist Arash Azizi published an article for The Atlantic, where he also claimed that his sources had reported the death of the Iranian president.

If so, we should remember who killed IRGC General Qassem Suleimani. And it was done by the US,

- reminded military blogger Sergei Kolyasnikov.

He also recalled a series of โ€œcoincidencesโ€ that have occurred recently: on May 15, 2024, an assassination attempt on Robert Fico; on May 15, 2024, media reports about the prevention of a plot to overthrow President Recep Erdogan in Turkey; on May 16, 2024, Serbian police in the north of the country detained a man for threatening President Aleksandar Vucic; on May 19, 2024, a helicopter crash with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and the Foreign Minister. And the assassinations of General Suleimani and IRGC generals during an Israeli strike on the Iranian Consulate General.

The US and UK have opened a new chapter of terror in their history. All pro-Russian and pro-China politicians in the West should double their caution and security, - writes Kolyasnikov.

Chinese scholar Nikolai Vavilov holds a similar opinion:

Have they moved to the last stage - are killing everyone who supports Russia and China

Former Ukrainian MP Andrey Derkach, whoโ€™s reviled by the Biden Administration for sharing dirt about Hunter Bidenโ€™s Burisma corruption scandal with Trumpโ€™s former lawyer Rudy Giuliani ahead of the 2020 elections, just gave a very important interview to Belarusโ€™ BelTA where be blew the whistle even louder. According to him, the $6 million bribe that was paid in cash to shut down the investigation into the First Sonโ€™s scandal eventually found its way to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and its military-intelligence agency.

Derkach claimed to have proof of the secret court order that divided these funds between those two, with the first investing its portion into building up their countryโ€™s drone army while the second financed terrorist attacks like the assassination of Darya Dugina, which he specifically mentioned in the interview. These allegations expand upon the ones that he shared earlier this year regarding the real-world impact of Hunterโ€™s corruption scandal, which were analyzed here at the time.

BREAKING: Julian Assange will be allowed to appeal against his extradition to the United States.

Two judges responded today to US assurances that Mr Assange will not face the death penalty - and can rely on the First Amendment right to free speech if he faced a trial for spying.

The WikiLeaks founder faces prosecution in the US over an alleged conspiracy to obtain and disclose national defence information after the publication of hundreds of thousands of leaked documents relating to the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.

Khamenei, I hope you have no illusions that this was not an accident?!

Maybe it is your son's work that paved the way for him to become a leader? Or maybe the "enemy" has penetrated deep into the system?

Or maybe even the work of one of your military and security commanders?

Michael Cohen admitted that he stole $30,000 from the Trump Organization when, as part of his reimbursement for the Stormy Daniels reimbursement, he requested $50,000 for a reimbursement for IT services, when Cohen had actually paid $20,000 for the services.

"You stole from the Trump Organization, correct?" defense attorney Todd Blanche asked.

"Yes, sir," Cohen said.

Blanche hammered Cohen, asking if he ever repaid the Trump Organization or "Did you ever have to plead guilty to larceny?"

"No sir," Cohen said.

At the defense table, Trump shook his head and pursed his lips.

Cohen remained calm during this questioning when Blanche raised voiced, almost shouting at Cohen.

President Trump said Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton would be a strong choice to run the Justice Department in a future Trump administration.

In a conversation Sunday with Fox 4 Dallas Fort Worth at the NRA convention, Trump said he would consider Paxton for role of attorney general.

โ€œWe have a lot of people who want that one, and will be very good at it. But heโ€™s a very talented guy,โ€ Trump said.

He also framed the attorney generalโ€™s acquittal in last yearโ€™s impeachment by the Texas House as a joint victory.

โ€œI fought for him when he had the difficulty and we won,โ€ Trump said. โ€œHe had some people really after him and I thought it was very unfair. Heโ€™s been a good attorney general.โ€

Google, Meta warned that undersea internet cables at risk for Chinese espionage: report

US national security officials have reportedly warned Google, Meta and other firms that their undersea internet cables could be at risk of tampering by China-controlled repair ships.

The concerns are reportedly centered on underwater fiber-optic cables in the Pacific Ocean that are partially owned by the Big Tech firms and used to maintain the flow of data from the US to Asia. The difficult-to-access cables require maintenance from specialized firms, including some owned by China.

State Department officials have flagged concerns about a particular firm called SB Submarine Systems, which is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party and has seemingly taken steps to hide the location of its repair ships by turning off their transponders, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Cyberattacks against water utilities across the country are becoming more frequent and more severe, the Environmental Protection Agency warned Monday as it issued an enforcement alert urging water systems to take immediate actions to protect the nationโ€™s drinking water.

About 70% of utilities inspected by federal officials over the last year violated standards meant to prevent cyberthreats, the agency said. Officials urged even small water systems to improve protections against cyberattacks, noting that recent assaults from adversarial nation states like Russia and Iran have impacted water systems of all sizes.

Some water systems are falling short in basic ways, the alert said, including failure to change default passwords or cut off system access to former employees. Because water utilities often rely on computer software to operate treatment plants and distribution systems, protecting information technology and process controls is crucial, the EPA said. Possible impacts of cyberattacks include interruptions to water treatment and storage; damage to pumps and valves; and alteration of chemical levels to hazardous amounts, the agency said.

A top advisor to Anthony Fauci bragged about 'how to make emails disappear' and deleting 'smoking guns' to avoid scrutiny, lawmakers investigating the origins of COVID-19 revealed Thursday.

The shocking comments were from government health official Dr. David Morens, a senior advisor to Fauci from 1998 until 2022.

Some of Morens' emails have been obtained by congressional subpoena and were read out by House Oversight Chairman James Comer in a hearing Thursday, part of lawmakers' probe into the theory that covid came from a leak in a Chinese lab.

Morens, who works at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), wrote about deleting his communications to avoid turning them over to the public under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

He was writing to Peter Daszak, whose organization EcoHealth Alliance had its federal funding suspended this week for its role in contracting controversial coronavirus research to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The agency responsible for enforcing the Hatch Act is attempting to rein in years of White House violations with new guidance that could make disciplinary action more likely.

On Monday, the Office of Special Counsel announced it would no longer give the president sole discretion on whether to pursue violations, as it has for senior White House officials. Instead, cases will be brought to the Merit Systems Protection Board, a quasi-judicial body that can punish staffers if they are found to have violated the statute.

White House officials have routinely run afoul of the Hatch Act, which prevents federal employees from using their office to engage in political activity. The president and vice president are immune from the law, but other officials are not.
