๐ mRNA vaccine by UPenn scientists could manage bird flu outbreak
A new experimental mRNA vaccine developed by researchers at University of Pennsylvaniaโs School of Medicine could help manage the outbreak of the H5N1 virus seen in birds and cattle, and also prevent human infections.
These new findings about the bird flu were published last week in Nature Communications.
โThe mRNA technology allows us to be much more agile in developing vaccines; we can start creating a mRNA vaccine within hours of sequencing a new viral strain with pandemic potential,โ Scott Hensley, a professor of Microbiology at the Perelman School of Medicine, said in a statement.

Google has suffered the 'mother of all leaks' after 2,500 documents surfaced online that exposed how its algorithm decides what users see.
The internal documents have suggested the system, which determines how pages rank in search results, has focused on the number of clicks a site receives rather than how reputable the source is.
๐โก๏ธ This could push fake news sites or misleading stories to the top of a Google search, causing people to fall into the trap of receiving more poorly sourced information, according former SEO expert Rand Rishkin.

We should be aware of the impact of solar storms on earthโs magnetosphere without dismissing as engineered manmade events, or by buying into fear porn. Discernment doesnโt reside in the extreme.

In a ceremony at the Yekaterininsky Hall of the Kremlin in Moscow today, Seagal, 72, was presented the honour for his 'big contribution to development of international cultural and humanitarian cooperation' in his role as an envoy to the US.
He claimed in his speech after Putin personally pinned the medal on his chest: 'Before the special operation, Ukraine was known for human trafficking, organ trafficking, narcotrafficking, child sex trafficking, biochemical warfare labs, fascism, and Nazism.
'We still try to make them our brothers. These poisons can affect the entire world, not just us.
'Many people say we are facing an existential threat by all these conditions, but actually the whole world is at risk of becoming dangerously close to entering World War Three.

BREAKING: Chief Justice John Roberts on Thursday declined an invitation to meet with Democratic senators to talk about Supreme Court ethics and the controversy over flags that flew outside homes owned by Justice Samuel Alito.
Robertsโ response came in a letter to the senators a day after Alito separately wrote them and House members to reject their demands that he recuse from major Supreme Court cases involving former President Donald Trump and the Jan. 6 rioters because of the flags, which are like those carried by rioters at the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.
