Two Democratic city officials and two Democratic campaign workers from Bridgeport, Connecticut, have been arrested and charged with election fraud.

Wanda Geter-Pataky, deputy head of the city’s Democratic Town Committee, city Councilman Alfredo Castillo, Nilsa Heredia, a campaigner for Mayer Joe Ganim, and Josephine Edmonds, a supporter for state Sen. Marilyn Moore, have been charged due to their misuse of absentee ballots during the 2019 mayoral primary race.

BREAKING: Bannon filed an emergency motion with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit asking the court to overrule a lower court’s ruling that ordered him to report to prison on July 1.

Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon asked a federal appeals court on Tuesday to let him remain out of prison while he continues to appeal a nearly two-year-old conviction on criminal contempt of Congress charges.

Bannon filed an emergency motion with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on Tuesday evening, asking the court to overrule a lower court’s ruling from last week that ordered him to report to prison for four months on July 1.

Puerto Rico’s elections commission said Tuesday that it’s reviewing its contract with a U.S. electronic voting company after hundreds of discrepancies were discovered following the island’s heated primaries.

The problem stemmed from a software issue that caused machines supplied by Dominion Voting Systems to incorrectly calculate vote totals, said Jessika Padilla Rivera, the commission’s interim president.

While no one is contesting the results from the June 2 primary that correctly identify the winners, machine-reported vote counts were lower than the paper ones in some cases, and some machines reversed certain totals or reported zero votes for some candidates.

Eight suspected terrorists from Tajikistan were arrested at across the country over the weekend. The arrests took place in New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles.  

According to a report from NBC News, the eight illegal immigrant terrorists that were arrested have suspected connections to ISIS and had crossed into the US over the southern border. The suspects had been on the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force radar and were arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, three people familiar with the matter told the outlet on Tuesday.

UPDATE: GOP-led House voting on Garland contempt resolution TODAY

The vote on the rule providing for consideration of the resolution is expected to take place around 10:30am.

The contempt resolution is focused on Garland's refusal to turn over an audio recording of President Biden's interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur, who investigated Biden's handling of classified documents.

If the resolution passes the initial hurdle on Wednesday morning, it moves toward a final vote expected to take place in the evening.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., is vowing to force a vote on Attorney General Merrick Garland's arrest if the Department of Justice (DOJ) fails to act on a criminal contempt resolution backed by House GOP leaders.

Luna told Fox News Digital on Tuesday evening that she would plan to force a vote on her "inherent contempt" resolution against Garland after the full House of Representatives weighs the Biden official's fate with a separate measure.

"As of right now, we fully intend to bring it," Luna revealed. "I don't really have much faith in the Department of Justice. And I don't think the American people do either. But we are trying to bring back a level playing field and show that, you know, there should be accountability all the way up to the top."
