When I was deployed in Afghanistan, I often prepared and/or briefed aircrews on deliberate air assault infil/exfil - when a bunch of special forces troops jump out of Chinooks and Blackhawks under the dominant eye of Apache overwatch.

We were just a battalion sized element, but we analyzed soil type, illumination, slope of the ground obtained by UAS, structures, personnel, enemy weapons systems, weather, disturbed ground, heat variance of a landing zone, all the way down to where the top target would be taking a dump when we dropped in to send them to the underworld.

No one higher than Lieutenant Colonel would be involved.

I’m side-eyeing the photo of the bullet going past Trump.

It is one of the hardest shots for a photographer to get - and that is with already knowing when the shot will be fired and it’s exact trajectory.

You can’t take that kinda photo with your phone or any run of the mill camera. You’d need some serious equipment.

I’m not saying it’s fake, necessarily - Just that I would LOVE to see some sauce from the actual photographer.
