New York House Republicans are urging President Trump’s top health officials, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Mehmet Oz, to determine whether ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo violated federal safety guidance by sending COVID-infected elderly patients released from hospitals into nursing homes during the worst of the pandemic.

The appeal centers on the then-Cuomo administration’s controversial March 25, 2020, directive prodding nursing homes to accept treated COVID patients discharged from hospitals.

The letter comes as Cuomo seeks a comeback bid for New York City mayor, running on an independent “Fight and Deliver” ballot line after losing the Democratic primary to democratic socialist Queens Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani.
His handling of COVID as governor continues to haunt him.

Earlier Wednesday, Cuomo released a video explicitly apologizing to the ultra-orthodox Jewish community for imposing lockdowns during the pandemic that barred large gatherings, including religious services.

The lawmakers expressed displeasure with Trump’s health team for blowing off a similar letter requesting a ruling on the Cuomo administration’s nursing order on March 6.

NEW🔥: Attorney General Pam Bondi vowed that the Justice Department’s indictment of fired FBI Director James Comey is the first salvo in the Trump Administration’s battle to “end the politicization” of the DOJ and the intelligence community, following months of declassifications and criminal referrals related to the targeting of Donald Trump by the Biden-era DOJ. That legal warfare centered on false claims of Russian collusion serving as the pretext.

The FBI opened a “grand conspiracy” case earlier this year, Just the News reported, with the inquiry allegedly focused on a decade of Democratic Party and deep-state antics from the Trump-Russia collusion hoax to former DOJ lawyer Jack Smith, who was accused by a Senate committee in February of having withheld documents he was required to hand over to Trump's then-defense attorneys.

This opens the door for a sweeping inquiry into whether the well-documented episodes amount to a criminal conspiracy to meddle in three U.S. elections to the benefit of Democrats and the detriment of President Donald Trump.

ICYMI🔥: Planned Parenthood clinics in Wisconsin will stop providing abortions on Wednesday, as the organization’s centers across the country struggle to navigate the fallout of a law that blocks the the reproductive healthcare giantfrom receiving reimbursements from Medicaid.

Thanks to a provision in President Trump’s new tax and spending bill, abortionproviders that receive more than $800,000 in reimbursements from Medicaid, the US government’s insurance program for low-income people, are blocked from participating in the program for one year. That provision is so narrowly tailored that it applies almost exclusively to Planned Parenthood, long a conservative target.

It is already illegal to use federal Medicaid dollars to pay for most abortions. Instead, Planned Parenthood clinics rely on Medicaid to pay for services such as cancer screenings, STI tests and contraception.

By ending its abortion provision, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin appears to be attempting to continue receiving Medicaid reimbursements for those other services. The measure is intended to be temporary, the regional affiliate said in a statement.
