And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. - Colossians 3:15

As members of one body (the body of Christ), we are interconnected.

The peace of Christ isn't just a personal experience; it affects our relationships and communities.

This peace calls us to live in harmony with others, reflecting Christ's love and grace. In a world often marked by division, embodying this peace is a powerful testimony of faith.

The latter part of the verse encourages gratitude.
Gratitude is more than saying thanks; it's a posture of the heart. It shifts our focus from what we lack to what we have in Christ. Gratitude fuels resilience and spiritual growth, enabling us to endure life's challenges with hope and joy.

Practically, allowing Christ's peace to rule in our hearts means surrendering our anxieties and conflicts to Him.

It means seeking His guidance in our decisions and interactions. It also involves cultivating a daily habit of thanksgiving, recognizing every blessing as a gift from God.

Reflect on this: How can you let Christ's peace take a more active role in your daily life? Consider starting each day with a moment of gratitude, acknowledging at least one way God's peace has been evident. This simple act can transform your perspective and enable you to become a vessel of His peace to those around you.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,
In the midst of life's challenges, I seek Your guidance and strength.

Help me to find hope in Your Word, and let gratitude fill my heart as I navigate through each obstacle. May I develop a growth mindset, trusting in

Your plan and finding peace in Your promises.

Guide me to perform acts of kindness, sharing my story to inspire others, and celebrating the resilience You've helped me build.

Thank You, Lord, for walking with me every step of the way.

In the name of the Lord of Lords and King of Kings Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.

And there it is.. Plan B

Within Justice Kavanaugh's dissent, He says the Supreme Court got it wrong:

The IEEPA law does let the President impose tariffs during a national emergency (based on its text, history, and precedents).

The majority wrongly applied the strict "major questions doctrine" to block it in foreign affairs/trade.

Even if the ruling stands, Presidents can likely impose similar (or MOST OF THE SAME) tariffs using these other trade laws instead:
โ€”โ€” Trade Expansion Act of 1962 (Section 232 โ€“ national security).
โ€”โ€” Trade Act of 1974 (Sections 122, 201, 301 โ€“ unfair trade, safeguards, balance-of-payments).
โ€”โ€” Tariff Act of 1930 (Section 338 โ€“ retaliatory tariffs).

These require a few extra steps (like INVESTIGATIONS), but cover the tariffs at issue.

Bottom line: Legaly, he says this was the wrong call, but Presidents do have workarounds via those other statutes.
SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas dropped straight TRUTH BOMBS in his dissent on the tariffs

He nailed it.

"NEITHER the statutory text nor the Constitution provide a basis for ruling against the President." ๐Ÿ”ฅ

"Congress authorized the President to โ€œregulate . . . importation.โ€ Throughout American history, the authority to โ€œregulate importationโ€ has been understood to include the authority to impose duties on imports."

"The meaning of that phrase was beyond doubt by the time that Congress enacted this statute, shortly after President Nixonโ€™s highly publicized duties on imports were UPHELD based on identical language."

"The statute that the President relied on therefore authorized him to impose the duties on imports at issue in these cases."

"Because the Constitution assigns Congress many powers that do not implicate the nondelegation doctrine, Congress may delegate the exercise of many powers to the President."

"Congress has done so repeatedly since the founding, WITH THIS COURT'S BLESSING."

PLAN B โ€” Itโ€™s Bad Boy Time

President Trump says he was trying to be a โ€œGood Boyโ€โ€ฆ and respect the courtโ€™s decision, but says the good news is that there are methods, practices, statutes, and authorities that are STRONGER than the IEEAP Tariffs, that he still has power over, and will be using themโ€ฆ

The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

- Psalm 27:1

In this beautiful psalm, David reminds us of God's unfailing protection and guidance. The imagery of God as "light" highlights His role in illuminating our path amid life's darkest moments.

Light dispels darkness, bringing clarity and understanding.

Similarly, God's presence in our lives provides clarity and hope, even when times seem bleak.

David also refers to God as his "salvation" and "stronghold."

These terms emphasize God's role as a deliverer and protector.

Like a fortress, God provides refuge and strength, shielding us from life's challenges and fears.

In ancient times, a stronghold was a place of safety during battles.

David's use of this term reassures us that no matter the battles we face
-be they emotional, physical, or spiritualโ€”God stands as our unwavering defense.

This psalm speaks to the power of faith in overcoming fear. In a world fraught with uncertainties, fear can often grip our hearts.

However, by shifting our focus to God's steadfast love and protection, we can find peace and courage. Trusting in God's promises allows us to face adversity with confidence and resilience.

As you reflect on this verse, consider the fears that may be holding you back. What steps can you take to deepen your trust in God's protective presence?

Remember, with the Lord as your light and stronghold, you have nothing to fear. Let this assurance encourage you to step boldly into each day, knowing you are never alone.

Let us pray;

Dear Heavenly Father,

In the midst of life's challenges, I come to You seeking strength and guidance.

Help me to embrace Your promises, knowing that they are a beacon of hope and a source of comfort. May Your words be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, guiding me through the trials I face.

Teach me to trust in Your unfailing love and to find peace in Your perfect plan.

As I journey through this day, remind me that Your timing is perfect and that You are always with me.

Grant me the courage to face each challenge with faith and resilience, knowing that with You, all things are possible.

In the name of the Lord of Lords and King of Kings Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.
