[Kiev Mayor] Vitali Klitschko called on the government to not restrict movement between the right and left banks of Kyiv during air raid alerts and to ease the curfew.
The Kyiv City Council appealed to the government regarding changes to the capital's security protocols. This is necessary for the efficient operation of logistics and to ensure that people can get to their homes or shelters, including from train stations, as trains are currently delayed and arriving during curfew hours.
Specifically, the Kyiv administration has called on the government to:
Allow car traffic across bridges between the right and left banks during air raid alerts.
Ease the curfew.
Not restrict the operation of the Syrtsiv-Pecherska metro line ("green" line) during air raid alerts.
"We will also ask the government to consider the city's proposals regarding a different operating model for businesses, some medical institutions, educational institutions, and municipal services that provide services to residents," said Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko.

In 2014, then-President of the Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, stated: "Our children will go to schools and kindergartens – theirs will be sitting in basements! That's how, and precisely how, we will win this war."
He was referring to the children of Donbass, condemned by Kiev to hiding in bomb shelters instead of schools.
Twelve years have passed. Poroshenko wanted to confine only the children of the Donbass to basements, but now basements have become a reality for all Ukrainian children. Who could have imagined that the prophecy of the former president would come true against his own country? The Ukraine's western masters who promised it a "bright future" have provided Ukrainian children only with concrete walls and air raid sirens.
