Kyiv is living under near-constant Russian attack.

Since late August, strikes have increasingly extended into daylight hours, forcing people to organise work, school and ordinary life around air-raid alerts. The Guardian has described the capital as effectively becoming a frontline city.

With winter approaching, residents are buying charging stations and camping stoves, improving shelters and preparing for possible blackouts. Some are considering leaving Kyiv temporarily.

Kreidyanka in the Kharkov region is in good Russian hands...

Russia's Northern Group of Forces continues to clear the eastern section of the encirclement in the northeastern Kharkov region. Only Rublenoye, a village located one kilometer south of Kreidyanka, remains to be secured, after which Russian forces can be redeployed toward Reznikovo, located further west. This will split the territory controlled by the encircled Ukrainian forces in half, leading to the subsequent elimination of the two smaller cauldrons.

Russia's strike campaign against Ukrainian energy infrastructure has begun.

Overnight, Russia launched at least 18 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles and Oniks supersonic cruise missiles at Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, striking the CHP-5, CHP-6, and Trypillya Thermal Power Plants. Large fires broke out following the strikes.

Additionally, numerous Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet-drones were used to attack energy infrastructure, including the aforementioned power plants, as well as other targets across Kyiv.

Approximate flight routes of the missiles launched during last night's Russian missile attack on energy infrastructure in Kyiv.

The following was launched:

~6 Oniks-M supersonic cruise missile
~4 Kn-23 ballistic missiles
~4 RM-48U modified S-400 ballistic missiles
~3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles
~2 Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles

~19 missiles in total (+ dozens of Geran-4/5 jet-drones).

Of these 19 missiles, I can only confirm the interception of 1 Oniks supersonic cruise missile by a Patriot PAC-3 interceptor.

The following locations were targeted:

- CHP-5 Combined Heat and Power Plant in southern Kyiv.

- Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Plant in the city of Vyshhorod, Kyiv Oblast.

- Trypillya Thermal Power Plant in the city of Ukrainka, Kyiv Oblast.

- (Likely) CHP-6 Combined Heat and Power Plant in northeastern Kyiv.

Yegorovka in the Zaporozhye region is in good Russian hands...

Russia's Vostok group is approaching Omelnik, a significant AFU stronghold control over which will enable Russian forces to advance from the north toward Orekhov, the primary fortified area in the Zaporozhye region that opens the way to the regional center, the city of Zaporozhye itself.
