The air force has confirmed the Su-24 air crash in the Khmelnytskyi region...
"Around 19:00 on June 16, 2026, an air crash occurred involving a Su-24M frontline bomber from the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade named after Petro Franco of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force. The crew of the Su-24M - a pilot and a navigator - were carrying out a mission in the Khmelnytskyi region. Unfortunately, both pilots were killed. We express our sincere condolences to the families of Major Bogdan Grigorievich Zagurlyuk and Senior Lieutenant Bogdan Alexandrovich Babenko... Rescuers and law enforcement officers are working at the crash site. According to preliminary information, there are no civilian casualties," the statement said.
The causes of the crash are being investigated.

Situation on the Kostyantynivka direction, Donetsk Oblast:
Over the last two weeks, Russian forces continued their offensive operations and have made significant progress within Kostyantynivka.
West of Kostyantynivka, Russian forces recaptured positions in the western part of Stepanivka and secured positions in the forests to the west. Other assault groups are infiltrating the eastern part of Dovha Balka and advancing towards the southern part of the village.
In the western part of Kostyantynivka, following earlier Russian breaches, Ukraine withdrew most of their forces from the western suburbs to the eastern and northwestern parts of the city. This allowed Russia to finally capture the last parts of Illinivka and secure most of the western suburbs. From there, Russian forces are continuing to infiltrate across the Kryvyi Torets River to the Chemical Plant, and have begun attacks across the river towards the rear of Ukrainian forces stationed near the railway station.
In the northwestern part of Kostyantynivka, the Russians broke through north to Lomonosova Street where they are engaged in fierce battles with Ukrainian special forces. Ukrainian forces are now withdrawing from this part of the city to the Novoselivka District. However, as they are doing this, Russia is already entering the Novoselivka District, moving behind Ukrainian lines by advancing up the western bank of the "First Pond" and along Lomonosova Street itself.
In the southern part of Kostyantynivka, Russian forces cleared the remaining Ukrainian strongpoints outside the city and captured the rest of the southern industrial zone after fierce battles. Other assault groups captured the remaining private sector in southern Kostyantynivka on both banks of the river, reaching the railway station from the south.
In the southeastern part of Kostyantynivka, Russian forces continued battles for the area of the railway station, and cleared the rest of the forest east of the city. From there, they are deepening their infiltrations towards the stadium from multiple directions. Due to Russian infiltrations in the northern part of the city, Ukrainian forces have initiated a withdrawal from the eastern part of Kostyantynivka.
In the northern part of Kostyantynivka, the Russians continued accumulating their forces in Novodmytrivka and the forests to the west for further infiltrations into the so-called "Historical Centre". Forward assault groups were able to break through to the main highway, thereby operationally encircling Ukrainian formations stationed in the eastern suburbs. Fierce battles continue for the Historical Centre, as well as the private sector to the north, where Russia has been unable to establish stable control due to a number of Ukrainian positions still existing intermingled with Russian positions. At the same time, Russia has begun advancing towards the northernmost part of the city, infiltrating along the southern bank of the tributary of the Kryvyi Torets River.
Northeast of Kostyantynivka, Russian forces continued infiltrations into Molocharka from Novodmytrivka, and have also begun infiltrations west across the tributary of the Kryvyi Torets River towards the northernmost part of Kostyantynivka. Meanwhile, other assault groups began attacks northeast of Novodmytrivka towards Podilske.

I think we can expect a full Ukrainian withdrawal to the northwestern suburbs over the next two weeks, where they will presumably make a final stand in the Battle of Kostyantynivka.

1. The U.S. and Iran and their allies in the current war declare the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and undertake from now on not to initiate any war or any military operation against each other, and to refrain from the threat or use of force against each other, and ensuring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon.
2. The U.S. and Iran undertake to respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity and to refrain from interfering in each other's internal affairs.
3. The U.S. and Iran commit to negotiating and achieving the final deal in maximum of 60 days, extendable with mutual consent.
4. Immediately upon the signing, the U.S. will begin the removal of its naval blockade and any disturbances or impediments against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and will fully end the naval blockade within 30 days. During this period, the traffic of vessels will be in proportion to the numbers of pre-war traffic being restored by Iran. The U.S. further undertakes to remove its forces from the proximity of Iran within 30 days atter the final deal.
5. Upon the signing of this MoU, Iran will make arrangements using its best efforts for the safe passage of commercial vessels with no charge for 60 days from the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman, and vice versa. The traffic of commercial vessels will immediately start, in considering the need for removing the technical and military obstacles and demining by the Islamic Republic of Iran, within 30 days. Iran will conduct a dialogue with the Oman to define the future administration and maritime services in the Strait of Hormuz.
6. The U.S. undertakes with its regional partners to develop a definitive, mutually agreed plan with at least USD 300 billion for the reconstruction and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as part of a final deal.
7. The U.S. undertakes to terminate all types of sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the United Nations Security Council resolutions, IAEA Board of Governors resolutions, and all unilateral U.S. sanctions, primary and secondary, in an agreed upon schedule as part of the final deal.
8. The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms that it shall not procure or develop nuclear weapons. The U.S. and Iran have agreed to resolve the disposition of stockpiled enriched materials, pursuant to a mechanism that will be mutually agreed upon in accordance with the schedule mentioned in paragraph seven with the minimum methodology to be downblending on site under the supervision of the IAEA. The two parties also agreed to discuss the issue of enrichment and other mutually agreed matters related to Iran's nuclear needs.
9. Pending the final deal, the U.S. and Iran agree to maintain the status quo. Iran will maintain the current status quo of its nuclear program, and the U.S. will not impose any new sanctions and will not deploy additional forces in the region.
10. The U.S. undertakes that immediately upon the signing of this MoU, sanctions waivers will be issued for the export of Iranian crude oil, petroleum products, and derivatives, and all associated services, including banking transactions, insurances, transportation, etc.
11. The U.S. undertakes to make fully available for use the frozen or restricted funds of Iran upon the implementation of this MoU. The U.S. and Iran will mutually agree on the procedures related to the release of these funds during the negotiations.
12. A monitoring mechanism will be established to supervise the implementation of this MoU and subsequent final agreement.
13. After signing this MoU and subject to the beginning of the implementation of paragraphs 1, 4, 5, 10, and 11, the U.S. and Iran will start negotiations regarding the final deal.
14. The final deal will be endorsed by a UNSC Resolution.

The IDF announced that a sergeant of the 36th Division was killed by a recent Hezbollah strike in southern Lebanon. Another 7 soldiers (4 reserve soldiers, 1 reserve officer, 1 non-commissioned officer, and 1 officer) were moderately and lightly injured.
In a separate statement, the IDF announced that 5 soldiers were injured (1 seriously, 2 moderately, 2 lightly) from a Hezbollah FPV drone strike in southern Lebanon.
The IDF claims that both of these strikes occurred after the beginning of the new ceasefire agreement. Hezbollah has not issued any statements on these attacks.
This brings the confirmed IDF death toll since the beginning of their invasion of Lebanon to 31.

Located on the dominant heights 11 km east of the outskirts of Slavyansk, the liberation of Rai-Alexandrovka allows Russian forces to keep a significant part of Slavyansk and the northern districts of Kramatorsk under fire control, as well as attack Slavyansk directly and to the south towards the N20 highway connecting it with Kramatorsk. Once it is cut off, the two largest cities in the north of the DPR will be isolated from each other.

What's happening near Slavyansk and Kramatorsk? The Russian Armed Forces have achieved significant success by liberating Rai-Alexandrovka. The assault had been going on since the end of March due to the stubborn resistance of the AFU, which, understanding the importance of this settlement, turned it into a formidable fortified position. Why is Rai-Alexandrovka so important? It is (was) one of the most important AFU logistical and defensive nodes near Slavyansk, which, along with Raigorodok (the starting point of the "Siversky Donets โ Donbass" water canal), supports this section of the front. The liberation of Rai-Alexandrovka by Russian forces will in the future provide support for further advancement to the west towards Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, where the next target of the offensive will be Nikolaevka with the Slavyansk TPP โ the largest AFU fortified position in this direction. It is only about 2 km from the outskirts of Nikolaevka to the first houses of Slavyansk.
