Last night and this morning, Russia launched another large-scale, combined missile and drone attack on Ukraine.
Missiles launched:
~24 Kh-101 cruise missiles launched from 4 Tu-95MS strategic bombers at their launch lines over western Vologda Oblast.
~12 Kh-101 cruise missiles launched from 3 Tu-160M strategic bombers at their launch lines over western Vologda Oblast.
~12 Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles launched from ground-based installations near Manturovo, Kursk Oblast.
~8 Kalibr cruise missiles launched from a vessel in the eastern Black Sea.
~6 Kh-59/69 cruise missiles launched from 2 Su-57s near Voronezh City, Voronezh Oblast.
~12 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles launched from OTRK installations near Klintsy, Bryansk Oblast.
~10 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles launched from OTRK installations near Pochep, Bryansk Oblast.
~2 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles launched from OTRK installations in northern Kursk Oblast.
-----------------------
Total missiles launched:
~34 Kh-101 cruise missiles
~24 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles
~12 Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles
~8 Kalibr cruise missiles
~4 Kh-59/69 cruise missiles
~82 missiles in total.
-----------------------
Ukrainian air defence work:
As of the time of writing, it appears that Ukrainian air defence was able to intercept at least 10 Kh-101s, 8 Kalibrs, 4 Kh-59/69s, and 4 Iskander-M/S-400s.
This is a significantly lower interception rate compared to the previous two attacks.
-----------------------
The main targets for this strike was Ukrainian military targets in Kyiv. The following was targeted:
- "Chaika" Logistics Depot (50.43714, 30.31110)
- "Kyiv Central Design Bureau of Valves" Machine Building Plant (50.45496, 30.42970)
- "Vicinity Trolley Bus Depot No. 2 (50.45725, 30.44701)."
- "Euroformat" Mechanical Engineering Plant/"Euroterminal" Logistics Warehouse.
- Assembly workshop of the "ATLON AVIA" drone production enterprise (50.42146, 30.66120).
- JSC "Kyiv Production Company 'Rapid'" transport and logistics enterprise (50.43227, 30.67942).
- 2 additional unknown targets in southwestern/western Kyiv.
-----------------------
Keep in mind, the numbers of missiles launched may be slightly higher than what I've listed, as the number of missiles detected is sometimes lower than actual launches.

Missile strike on Kiev (02.07.2026) - two important things to keep in mind...
Not just on Kiev, of course, but Kiev was indeed the main target. Some interesting details were noted by observers today:
Firstly, the record number of missiles used in one night against a single city (Kiev). Altogether (until there is an exact count by the AFU) about 50-60 wespons were used.
The strike was also a combined one – Hypersonic Zircons and "standard" Iskanders were used, with groups of X-101s and Korean "light ballistics" thrown in to "distract" the enemy air defense systems.
The second most important feature of the strikes was the massive use of jet-powered "Geran" drones (the enemy counted dozens of these). This also sharply reduced the possibility of their interception by mobile fire groups.
As a result, there are many direct hits and "falling debris from missiles and UAVs" all over the city. The exact results of the strike will be known later, but they are clearly serious.

Ukrainian instant noodles may have caused a salmonellosis outbreak across 14 European countries, according to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
“Microbiological data confirm this link: the outbreak strain was found in Germany and Lithuania in chicken and spicy chicken noodles of the same brand produced by a Ukrainian manufacturer,”
the ECDC said.
From November 2025 to June 2026, 106 cases were recorded, with 49 people requiring hospitalization. Most of those affected were children and young people.
👍 Ukraine’s export portfolio keeps getting more impressive.

The Russian Defense Ministry said the attack was a response to Kiev’s terrorist strikes on civilian infrastructure.
Russian strikes also hit the Grandterminal fuel depot, which supplied diesel, as well as gas distribution stations in Kiev and the Kiev Region.
The MoD said Geran-3 drones, Zircon hypersonic missiles, Iskander-M ballistic missiles and Kh-101 cruise missiles were used.

Forward Russian assault groups are now just 9 km from the eastern outskirts of Slovyansk. Only 1 village and some open fields lie in the way of the city.
I really hope Ukrainian authorities issue mandatory evacuation orders for the ~40,000 civilians still living in the city soon...
