A drone factory in Kyiv destroyed by a Russian ballistic missile on Friday was owned by a US corporation registered in Delaware, in what appears to be the first time Moscow has targeted a US company in the conflict.
Terminal Autonomy makes precision “deep-strike” drones with guidance systems that are resistant to Russian jamming signals, according to a person familiar with the company.
The company did not reply to an emailed request for comment. The Ukrainian defence ministry also did not respond to an email.
Anthony Vinci, a former senior US intelligence officer, said: “The Russians don’t care who owns the manufacturing facility. It’s still a target. They don’t care if it’s American or someone else’s.”
He added: “I do think if Patriot missiles or any American system was manufactured in Ukraine, I think the Russians would target that manufacturing facility.”

-----------------------
Ukrainian air defence work:
As of the time of writing, it appears that Ukrainian air defence was able to intercept a *minimum* of 25 Kh-101s, 6 Kalibrs, and 1 Iskander-M/S-400,
-----------------------
The main targets for this strike was Ukrainian military targets in western Ukraine, central Ukraine, and Kyiv. The following was targeted:
- Mayak Defence Plant in northern Kyiv (50.487948, 30.490509) by ~2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
- Vicinity of Nova Poshta Warehouse #12 in western Kyiv (50.416879, 30.406535) by ~2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
- Industrial zone in western Kyiv (50.424845, 30.400269) by ~2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
- Lviv State Aviation Repair Plant in Lviv City (49.817646, 23.955727) by ~4 Kh-101 cruise missiles.
- Unknown target southeast of Lviv City by Kh-101 cruise missiles.
- Unknown target in the city of Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast by Kh-101 cruise missiles.
- Unknown target southeast of Khmelnytskyi City by Kh-101 cruise missiles.
- Unknown target on the outskirts of Vinnytsia City by ~1 Zircon hypersonic cruise missile.
- Unknown target in the city of Orativ, Vinnytsia Oblast by ~2 Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles.
- Unknown target in Haisyn, Vinnytsia Oblast by ~3 Kalibr cruise missiles.
- Unknown target in Kropyvnytskyi City by ~2 Kn-23 ballistic missiles.
- Unknown target and nearby residential building in the town of Radushne, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, by ~4 Kn-23 ballistic missiles.
- Unknown target (possibly Nova Poshta warehouse) near Poltava City by Kh-101 cruise missiles.
- Unknown target in Sumy City by ~4 modified S-300 ballistic missiles.
- Possible impact near the Polish village of Otrocz, eastern Poland, by 1-2 Kh-101 cruise missiles.
-----------------------
Keep in mind, the numbers of missiles launched may be slightly higher than what I've listed, as the number of missiles detected is sometimes lower than actual launches. These numbers may be adjusted in the coming hours as more information comes available.

Clarifications on tonight's missile figures:
52 Kh-101 cruise missiles were launched, not 48.
4 Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles were launched, not 3.
Therefore, we have an updated total of 83 missiles launched.

Last night Russia launched a total of 52 Kh-101 cruise missiles at Ukraine, using 6 Tu-95MS strategic bombers and 3 modernised Tu-160M strategic bombers.
This is the largest number of Kh-101 missiles launched in a single night since December 13, 2024, and by far the largest since Ukraine's Operation Spiderweb attacks on Russian strategic aviation on June 1, 2025.

President Volodymyr Zelensky told Axios in an interview on Tuesday, that he asked US President Donald Trump for an emergency “winter package” of Patriot air defense interceptors to help thwart Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
“We needed the Patriots yesterday,” Zelensky said, seeking 300 of them by winter.
According to Axios, Ukraine’s stockpiles of the interceptors have been almost depleted, and without them the country cannot defend itself against Russian ballistic missiles – the reason Ukraine could not stop recent Russian attacks on Kyiv, Zelensky said.
If the problem is not solved by winter, Russian missile attacks could destroy Ukraine’s power plants, shutting off heating for millions of Ukrainians and creating a humanitarian crisis.

Remember when this was considered Russian propaganda? Remember how so-called pro-Ukrainians doxxed me for saying EXACTLY THIS?
I've been saying this for years.
This is a war of attrition, where you prioritise destroying your enemy's capability to fight over forcing advances on the frontline.
