The U.S. has also used up roughly half of its Patriot interceptor missiles, seriously limiting the capability to intercept Iranian ballistic missiles fired at Gulf states and Israel.
The Pentagon has warned President Trump repeatedly in recent weeks that the low stockpiles could carry serious consequences in any new round of prolonged fighting with Iran.
