Impact of strikes on ports and AFU Merchant Navy, according to Ukrainian brokerage firm Spike Brokers and Ukrainian media.

Since early August, grain shipments by rail to ports in the Greater Odessa region have virtually ceased, representing a decline of 84.3%.

Between August 1st and August 6th, the Ukraine exported 312.9 thousand tons of agricultural products, compared to 784.5 thousand tons during the same six-day period in July. The physical volume decreased by 60.1%, and export revenue fell by 38.4%.

The grain export sector has experienced the most significant decline. During the first six days of August, 93.2 thousand tons of wheat were cleared for export, compared to 294.9 thousand tons in early July. Additionally, 33.5 thousand tons of corn were exported, compared to 293.7 thousand tons.

Data from Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) for the first five days of the month indicates a sharp reduction in rail traffic of grain to seaports, whereas land border crossings and road exports continue to operate at relatively higher levels. Exports through road checkpoints increased by 11.3%.

Rail transport of grain and processed products decreased by 44.1% compared to the same period in July and by 40.8% compared to the previous year.

Economic analysts indicate that logistics operations must be redirected toward road checkpoints.

⚡️Russia's version of Starlink deploying quicker than planned, Ukraine's military intelligence says.

"Moscow is implementing Rassvet, effectively a Russian analogue of the Starlink system. And they have begun launching it significantly faster than was envisaged in their plans," Ukraine's military intelligence deputy chief, Major General Vadym Skibitskyi, said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

🇨🇳China is launching its first regular container service across the Arctic, along the "Ice Silk Road." The line will connect the port of Ningbo with the UK via Russia's Northern Sea Route.

The new route could cut the usual 40-day voyage by approximately half and bypass dangerous chokepoints like the Red Sea, where shipping remains highly risky.
