Viktor Kurtev, an expert in critical infrastructure, advises that, in the event of strikes on Kyiv's sewage system, the wastewater should be discharged into the Dnipro River without treatment. Kurtev notes that Russian forces may target pumping stations, which would effectively halt the capital's entire sewage infrastructure.
He recommends that the National Security and Defense Council preemptively authorize the untreated discharge of sewage into the Dnipro River during critical situations. Furthermore, he suggests that a similar protocol should be established for other major cities situated along the Dnipro River.
It is noted that issues with the sewage system have already emerged following recent attacks.

Following Ukraine's drone strike campaign on Russian "Wildberries" logistics and distribution centres, Wildberries' reach to customers during August and September had a year-on-year decrease of 10%. This was despite losing around 32% of its warehouses to Ukrainian strikes. Addtiionally, the time spent on their websites decreased by 28%.
In comparison, the Ozon warehouse chain, which was also heavily targeted, saw a year-on-year *increase* in online customer activity of 27%, despite the heavy Ukrainian drone strikes on its infrastructure. However, this could be partially attributed to the strikes on Ozon beginning on August 22, as the report was based on numbers gathered during both August and September.

Shahed drone strikes cannot cause serious damage to Kyiv's bridges, – stated a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the executive director of the NGO "Institute of Geopolitical Dimension," Dmytro Bykov.
Additional protection can be provided by reinforced metal nets, which will destroy the drones before they reach the bridge structure.
Counter-sabotage measures are also necessary, including vehicle inspections, and strengthening of air defense.
