Elon Musk said it was “time for Zelensky to go” as Kyiv accused Washington of undermining Ukraine’s defenses through Starlink restrictions and gaps in intelligence sharing.

The dispute comes amid Russian missile attacks, concerns over US support and tensions over Washington’s diesel deal with Moscow.

Russia launched more than 850 Shahed drones against Ukraine from the start of Wednesday through 9 a.m. Thursday, Zelensky said, describing relentless waves of attacks.

“Not a single hour was our sky clear of them,” he said.

Zelensky added that Russia escalated its attacks after sanctions were eased and pressure was put on Ukraine.

⚡️Russian drone strikes leave portions of Kyiv without power, fires burning.

Damage to energy facilities in the Kyiv region has also reduced water pressure in areas of the capital on the Dnipro River's right bank. Emergency specialists are switching power supplies to water pumping stations, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

Varvarovka and Nikolayevka in the Kharkov region are in good Russian hands...

No settlements remain under Ukrainian control within the 460-square-kilometer encirclement area in the northeastern Kharkov region. Russian forces, specifically the Northern Group of Forces, completed the encirclement in early August and have since secured more than 20 villages in the Reznikovo cauldron. A Ukrainian Armed Forces contingent of 1,700 personnel, comprising six battalions from the 22nd and 159th Separate Mechanized Brigades and four border guard outposts from the 15th Border Detachment, has been neutralized. The remaining elements of the encircled forces have retreated into wooded terrain, although this position is considered temporary – once the foliage becomes sparse and colder weather conditions set in, the neutralization of the remaining forces will be completed.

Zelensky says Ukraine’s war effort will cost €155 billion next year and asked European partners for at least €70 billion more for defense, weapons and resilience. Ukraine could double or triple production of some drone types, he said, but currently lacks the funding needed to scale up.

Oil prices rise to $110 per barrel, the highest level since May...

Oil prices have surged due to escalating tensions in the Middle East and disruptions to fuel supplies, according to NBC News. Brent crude rose above $110 per barrel, the highest level since May, closing the week at $109.86. American WTI rose by 3.5% to $101.41 per barrel, exceeding the $100 mark for the first time since September.

Trump took numerous measures to lower prices, but these did not result in a significant decrease in diesel fuel prices. In particular, he promoted a deal with Russia, which drew criticism, but even that did not yield results.
