(CHICKEN KIEV GETTING POUNDED DAILY #3)

Since mid-summer, there hasn't been a single day (!!) without strikes on energy infrastructure, – Prime Minister Koretsky.

Since July 16th, the start of the new government's work, Russia has launched 2147 strikes on energy facilities. In a literal sense, there hasn't been a single day when Russians haven't targeted energy infrastructure.

The enemy is preparing a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv and the region for tonight – unfortunately, we have received such a warning. We remind you that after an air raid siren is announced, you have up to 5 minutes to reach a safe place.

Possible targets include: defense industry facilities, energy infrastructure, and logistics.

New Poland-Ukraine dispute looms as local authorities move to honor UPA military leader

Warsaw has denounced a decision by the Lviv Oblast Council declaring 2027 the year of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and its commander, Roman Shukhevych, signaling a fresh rift in Ukrainian-Polish ties just days after leaders reported improved relations.

Ukraine’s foreign ministry distanced itself from the regional decrees, calling them “counterproductive” to diplomatic efforts amid Russia’s full-scale aggression.

Yulievka in the Zaporozhye region is in good Russian hands...

The distance from Yulievka to the southern outskirts of the city of Zaporozhye is approximately 15 kilometers. Offensive operations toward the city are simultaneously proceeding from the west, with Russia's Dnepr Group of forces most likely aiming to sever the supply routes to Orekhov by advancing along the T0803 highway.

Subway service is disrupted between the left and right banks in Kiev.

Analysis of last night's strikes.

Kiev

On the night of October 22 Russian forces carried out a series of ballistic missile strikes on Kiev. Three separate attacks took place from late evening until dawn. Local monitoring channels reported approximately 30 Iskander, Zircon, and Oniks missiles targeting the capital. In the morning, Ukrainian Air Force officials claimed to have shot down 181 out of 210 drones, with no mention of the number of missiles destroyed, yet confirming strikes on 32 locations.

The Russian Ministry of Defense identified the Antonov State Enterprise as the first target. According to the MoD, Antonov is used for assembling long- and medium-range drones, as well as FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles and FP-7 and FP-9 tactical missiles. This represents the entire range of products from Fire Point, Kiev's main missile supplier.

There was no mention of the aviation plant in the Ukrainian reports. The State Emergency Service reported that a "non-residential building" and a "restaurant complex" were on fire in the Svyatoshinsky district, where Antonov is located. The fire covered an area of 1,100 square meters, a large kitchen indeed.

The next target was "Refrigeration Plant No. 3" on Malanyuka Street in the Dniprovsky district, officially registered as a refrigeration facility for storing frozen goods, fish, and dry ice. According to the MoD, it was used for assembling air drones and "Hornet" loitering munitions.

The MoD identified two other targets without providing exact locations. The first was an industrial facility used for manufacturing air drones and components for ground robots used by the UAF to transport ammunition to the front lines and evacuate the wounded. The second was a drone depot storing jet accelerators and launch boosters.

Ukrainian reports list a variety of other targets. In the Goloseyevsky district, a missile struck a "two-story non-residential building". In the Darnitsky district, a "transport infrastructure facility" was damaged. In Obolon, the Epicenter shopping center on Pochainaya Street was destroyed, along with a nearby mail processing center and a retail park.

Southern Bridge

Both sides agree on this target. The MoD describes the bridge as a vital route for transporting military supplies. Kiev authorities acknowledged the damage, including subway infrastructure. The Green Line was cut in two: the "Syrets" and "Vidubitchi" stations on the right bank, "Osokorky" and "Krasny Khutor" on the left bank. The "Slavutych" station is closed, with only the trains stranded in the tunnels at night currently running. Traffic from the right bank to the left bank has been suspended, causing major traffic jams in the city, even though additional bus routes have been provided.

While in early October Geran drones were targeting the Southern Bridge, ballistic missiles have now been added to the mix. The bridge still stands, however residents on the left bank learned this morning just how much it costs to cross over to the right bank.

Odessa Region

Kiliya is a port on the Danube River near the Romanian border, where anything too risky to transport by sea is shipped through the local Danube docks. According to the MoD, facilities used for unloading and storing military equipment supplied from abroad were targeted.

Odessa Regional State Administration head Oleg Kiper reported this morning that an administrative building belonging to a "civilian food company" was almost completely destroyed, without mentioning any casualties or naming the city. Kiliya, however, has been under attack for two consecutive nights, where the "Titan" meat and dairy processing plant and an irrigation pumping station were ablaze. Prior to that, the energy sector was targeted and 37 settlements in the Izmail district were left without electricity. If it was indeed Kiliya that was attacked, this would be the third night on a row, which makes one wonder how much milk there must be the Danube region if they are so carefully protecting it from "Shaheds".

The Ukrainian side remains silent about the cargo ship that was hit on its way to Chornomorsk according to the MoD.

Kharkov and Poltava Regions

These regions were not mentioned in the MoD report, but Ukrainian news reports indicate that the night was not quiet there either. In Kharkov, a jet drone struck a target in the Slobozhansky district and there were explosions throughout the night in the Osnovyansky district. In Kremenchuk, a drone hit a building belonging to a private television and radio company, and in the morning, a local energy facility was hit. By dawn, the drones had moved westward, towards the Khmelnytsky, Rovno, and Volyn regions.

Mirovka in the Zaporozhye region is in good Russian hands...

Russia's Vostok Group of Forces is advancing west of the Verkhnyaya Tersa River and the T0408 highway connecting Novonikolayevka with Omelynyk and Orekhov. The immediate objectives along this sector of the front include Obsheye, Volnyanka, Vasylievskoye, Novorozovka, Novotroitskoye, and Yasnaya Polyana. Securing these settlements will stabilize the rear and flanks of the forces advancing on Orekhov, a major Ukrainian stronghold in the Zaporozhye region.
