❗️Putin: “Elon Musk is truly a genius. He is just an absolute total genius.
I mean, just think about it. How many of those satellites does he actually have in orbit right now? There are over 5,000 of them, while we are only just taking our very first steps…
We are in close contact with our American partners, including Mr. Musk, because it's really important not to get in each other's way up there in orbit to maintain a certain level of discipline and order.”
PS. This is a thinly veiled threat from Russia that the Kessler syndrome can wipe all of Elon Musk's satellites out. Kessler syndrome is a self-sustaining chain reaction in low Earth orbit (LEO) where collisions between satellites and space debris generate more fragments, creating an exponential increase in space junk that can make key orbital bands unusable. The danger is highest between 600 km and 1,000 km altitude, where atmospheric drag is too weak to naturally clear debris quickly.

❗️Documenting the Overton Window effect on turning off Starlink for the Ukrainian army:
⚡️21 September — Boikov, Infowars:
Simeon Boikov warned Elon Musk to stop Starlink-assisted Ukrainian strikes on targets inside Russia.
He said continued use would push Russia to militarize space, including launching nuclear devices that release millions of pieces of debris to rip through low-orbit satellites.
⚡️24 September — Stubb asks Musk to open Starlink over Russia.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb told Reuters he pleaded with Musk to let Ukraine use Starlink where Russian ballistic-missile launchers are, including inside Russia.
⚡️24 September — Russian proposal to kill Starlink in orbit.
Sergei Glazyev and Konstantin Malofeev published options including electronic warfare, metal pellets, and a nuclear burst in orbit to disable low-Earth-orbit satellites. A close public match to Boikov’s debris-and-nukes wording.
⚡️25–26 September — attacks on Starlink-linked ground sites.
A fire at a Starlink ground station in Poland was treated as possible sabotage. Russia said it struck the Cosmonova data center in Kiev, which it described as supporting Ukraine’s Starlink use.
⚡️27 September — Peskov warns Musk.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said providing Musk’s satellite systems for strikes deep inside Russia would be “a very harmful, potentially dangerous and reckless step.”
⚡️30 September — US Government appoints Musk to Pentagon space war advisory role.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made Musk a co-lead, with Palmer Luckey and Newt Gingrich, of Project Meridian, a 120-day review of future battlefields and weapons. Advisory role, not a command post.
⚡️2–3 October — Zelenskyy asks Trump to block Rassvet.
The Financial Times reported that Zelenskyy had repeatedly asked Trump to sanction Russian and Chinese firms building Rassvet, Russia’s Starlink rival.
⚡️4 October — Medvedev: blocking Rassvet means a full-scale space war.
He wrote that Kiev’s request to “block” Rassvet “means only its destruction. And that will lead to a full-scale space war,” and that Starlink satellites would then “come dropping like decorations off a dried-out Christmas tree.”
⚡️4 October — Russian Defense Ministry: global space-control system warning.
The Russian Aerospace Forces announce preparation and launch of military spacecraft for control, orbital and radar monitoring of missile-threat directions, and global monitoring of the space environment.
Russian Aerospace forces announce missile-attack warning capabilities, space surveillance, and launches of military and dual-use satellites and intercontinental ballistic missiles as core tasks.
Reported by Russian state media outlets the same day. @AussieCossack posted this alongside Medvedev and called both confirmation of his earlier warning via Infowars.
⚡️13 October - Trump could deprive Ukraine of intelligence data and pressure Elon Musk to shut down Starlink, which the Ukrainian army heavily relies on—Politico.
⚡️14 October - SpaceX has further restricted the speed of Starlink services for the Ukraine
⚡️15-19th October - Zelensky complains that the US Government has turned off starlink. Trump says he doesn't know. Elon Musk says it was the Pentagon and Starlink should not be used for military purposes. Hegsworth says the military version of Starlink named Starshield is not available to Ukraine.
⚡️20th October - Russian Kosmos satellite simulates attack run on a US satellite providing Ukraine with imagery data
⚡️24th October - Zelensky blames Elon Musk's Space X for the restrictions on Starlink for the Ukronazi army
⚡️25th October - Elon Musk responds to Zelensky's complaints and stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces violated the terms of use of Starlink, "using the system to launch drone strikes with the aim of killing people."
Musk warns that Russia could target SpaceX's Starlink satellites with anti-satellite weapons if the network is used by Ukraine to support offensive military strikes against Russia.
Conclusion: @AussieCossack was right?

❗️Greens leader David Shoebridge has been embarrassed by the attendance of the Russian ambassador at his inaugural National Press Club address in which he doubled down on calls to deny Ukraine military aid – a policy critics say is pro-Kremlin.
Shoebridge said he did not know Petrakov was listening to his speech.
“One hundred per cent not welcome, 100 per cent not invited, I don’t want him here,” he told Nine News.
Ukraine’s ambassador, Myroshnychenko, who has been lobbying Shoebridge to change his foreign policy on military aid, was outraged by Petrakov’s attendance.
“I just find it really appalling that he actually shows up there. But I mean, in this particular case, I believe he feels quite comfortable coming to Senator Shoebridge’s presentation,” he said.
Opposition defence minister James Paterson said he was not surprised the Russian ambassador was in attendance for Shoebridge’s speech.
“He would have liked what he was going to hear. The Greens foreign policy under David Shoebridge is Putin-friendly,” he said. “He wants to hand a veto over Australia’s defence assistance for Ukraine to Vladimir Putin through the United Nations Security Council.”

🎙️ Remarks by Russia’s Ambassador to Australia Mikhail Petrakov on the reaction to his presence at the National Press Club (29 October 2026)
💬 My attendance at the recent event at the National Press Club, open to the public, where the Greens Senator Shoebridge spoke, caused quite a stir. Moreover, it seems that the mere presence of the Russian Ambassador was enough to trigger panic in the ranks of those who support the Kiev regime.
❌ The Ukrainian Ambassador allowed himself a rude remark about my being there. Is he trying to assume the role of the supreme judge, ruling on what is appropriate and what is not for other members of the diplomatic corps?
Well, well, well.
☝️ Do not judge, and thou shalt not be judged.
I am not going to comment on how easily the performance of regular diplomatic chores by a foreign Ambassador can be used for political purposes here, playing the game titled “Who is more anti-Russian among us?”.
🤔 The most interesting, however, was the press coverage.
After the event was over, I had a brief chat with a correspondent from The Australian, and I expressed to him quite clearly our views on the neo-Nazi nature of the Ukrainian regime.
❗️I pointed out that the regime had turned into national heroes Ukrainian Nazi collaborators, who during World War II were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Jews, Ukrainians, Russians, Poles and Belarusians. And today, following suit, the Kiev regime has been destroying everything Russian since 2014, including the language, culture, religion and the very Russian identity in Ukraine, and, of course, physically exterminating Russians.
⁉️ All I said to him, however, remained a voice in the wilderness, was ignored and left unpublished.
I don't know whether this is the local media's idea of “balanced coverage” of events, or whether the journalist was simply scared to tell the truth.
🗣️ In the end, I was left with the impression of an echo chamber, where the only voices heard are those expressing blind hatred towards my country and support for the neo-Nazi Kiev regime.
🤐 The rest is silence.

❗️Pentagon Inspector General Refuses to Investigate Starlink Disruptions in Ukraine.
According to the Associated Press, the Pentagon's Inspector General has rejected a request from a group of U.S. senators to investigate disruptions to Starlink and Starshield systems.
In an official response, the department stated that the U.S. Air Force should answer the senators' questions. The senators viewed this response as a de facto refusal to investigate Elon Musk.
