According to Iranian sources, IRGC Navy fast boats were patrolling in the Persian Gulf last night when the U.S. Navy reportedly attempted to target them using several Apache helicopters.

In response, several boats equipped with Kowsar-222 shipborne surface-to-air missiles engaged the helicopters.

According to the same source, more than one helicopter was hit, though only one is said to have crashed into the sea.
