At least 11 earthquakes of magnitude 6.0 or higher have struck in just 11 days across the Philippines, Japan, Venezuela, Russia, Indonesia, China and the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
The biggest was Venezuela’s double strike: M7.2 near San Felipe followed seconds later by M7.5 near Yumare.
Now the Philippines has added another M6.5 near Sarangani.
Eleven major quakes. Eleven days.
