OAKDALE, Tennessee

No injuries or damage was reported following a minor train derailment in Morgan Co on Friday evening.

Morgan Co Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Mike Wren said that one train engine partially went off the track in the Oakdale area but did not overturn.

No railcars left the track and no damage was reported.

Wren added that crews are waiting for the arrival of a crane at the scene to place the engine back on the track.

The incident comes days after a major derailment in Morgan Co involving 29 rail cars on June 11.

Seogwipo, South Korea

According to the Jeju Fire and Safety Headquarters and others, at around 9:58 a.m. today (the 4th), a report was received that the bottom of a 3-story building near the Seogwipo Autonomous Police Station in Seogwi-dong, Seogwipo City had collapsed.

The collapsed section is 5m long and 3m high.

The FD immediately arrived at the scene and evacuated 7 people from 5 nearby households in 2 separate operations.

It was reported that no one was injured during this process.

An investigation into the cause of the collapse is also underway.
