Massive "Saharan dust" plume (aka NIBIRU DUST) spreads across Florida, Gulf Coast to send temperatures soaring
A plume of Saharan dust is spreading hazy skies across Florida and the Gulf Coast through the weekend. Combined with a heat dome, it will push feels-like temperatures toward 110 degrees. W Second St is closed bw Main & Ludlow St Friday, July 10, in downtown Dayton following a fire involving an underground electrical vault.
The first call came in at 7:18 a.m., according to the Montgomery Co Regional Dispatch Center.
There were multiple calls regarding the fire, with people also reporting hearing a possible explosion in the area of W Second and N Ludlow St.
When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the subterranean vault near the Key Bank building, said District Chief Andrew Wiley of the Dayton FD.
The fire, which is now out, did not affect any customers. It was caused by an equipment issue, said Mary Ann Kabel, AES Ohio director of corporate communications.
