FBI chief Kash Patel pulled back to the White House
He'd planned a weekend in Chicago to see his girlfriend, then dropped it fast after senior Trump officials called him in.
No word on why, but the mood is bad. Some were annoyed he'd even leave D.C. with the Iran fight heating up and reported threats against Trump going around.
And it's not the first time. His allies have reportedly stepped in more than once lately to help fix his standing with the White House.
When your own side keeps stepping in to save you, the job is already on shaky ground.
