NEW HAVEN, Connecticut
A sinkhole that may have been a result of Tuesday’s storms has closed a portion of Route 10 in New Haven.
Route 10 North, between Legion Avenue and MLK Boulevard, remains closed Wednesday morning, according to the Connecticut DOT. The closure was initially reported around 4:24 p.m.

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island
A massive sinkhole opened up at a construction site in Providence Tuesday evening near Blackstone Boulevard and Irving Avenue.
Providence Mayor Brett Smiley told 12 News he expects the sinkhole to be repaired by Wednesday morning.
The sinkhole opened up as a strong line of thunderstorms moved across the state.

CARBONDALE, Colorado
W Main St is closed west of Hendrick after a sinkhole formed early Tuesday morning in the Colorado mountain town south of Glenwood Springs. City officials said crews are on site and repair work is underway.
The Town of Carbondale said W Main St will remain closed with a possible reopening on Friday.

A vehicle was swallowed by a sinkhole that opened in Fayetteville Tuesday evening after heavy rain moved through the area.
The rainfall caused a sinkhole to form in the parking lot of Maggie’s Pub on Keller Avenue, where it engulfed a parked vehicle.
No one was inside the vehicle at the time, and no injuries were reported.
As of Wed morning, the vehicle remained lodged inside the sinkhole.
