8:45 Tuesday morning update....Corinth Road has fully reopened to traffic. Use caution throughout the next day or two near Aylett Road. There is a LOT of activity with extremely large equipment around Aylett Road.

As a result of the train derailment around 2 o'clock this morning, Aylett Road will remain closed to traffic.

The derailment happened just north of Aylett Road and involved up to 10 cars of the Union Pacific train that was carrying product to the Pilgrims feed mill on Highway 369.

Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan

A freight train derailed in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, following a magnitude-7.1 earthquake that struck its southern Kyushu region on Tuesday (Jul 28 ).

Local media cited the railway company saying that the train derailed and overturned at Yatsushiro Station and no passenger injuries were reported. The company is also checking on the condition of the train driver.
