BRONX, NYC, New York Multiple manholes caught fire in Mott Haven early Monday morning, leaving 3 firefighters injured and multiple people without power. The blaze started just before 4:40 a.m. inside a conduit in front of 262 Cypress Ave. The fire caused elevated carbon monoxide levels in the surrounding area. Fire officials say 3 separate – and possibly gas-fed – manhole fires erupted, one of which spread to a car above. A witness tells News 12 that she heard 3 explosions and smelled something in the air. It took firefighters around 2.5 hours to control the flames. Con Ed crews remained at the scene Monday evening – over 12 hours later – working to make repairs and restore power to 8 remaining customers. https://www.firefighterclosecalls.com/manhole-fire-injures-three-fdny-firefighters/

NYC, New York A CBS News New York Investigation finds New York City is on pace for the most manhole fires in 11 years. New York City Open Data shows more than 4,000 reports of fire, smoke or explosions in manholes that the FDNY responded to so far this year. Back in 2023, firefighters responded to just 1,300 manhole fire reports all year. That number climbed to 2,800 in 2024, then 4,400 in 2025. That's a 200% increase over the last few years. This year is on pace for the most manhole fires or smoking manholes in the city since 2015. According to Con Ed, the top cause of manhole fires is the salt used to treat snow, which corrodes electrical wires. Con Ed, which owns not all but most of the electrical manholes in New York City, would not agree to an interview for this story. https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news/nyc-manhole-fires/

You have got to be 26 different kinds of stupid and 33 degrees of retarded to even consider taking this thing. How many strokes, heart attacks, aneurysms, embolisms, ruptured aortic valves, dying kidneys and gall bladders, wildfire cancers, autoimmune illnesses, miscarriages, and feet of rotting intestines will it take to convince people this is junk science this time around?? My God... 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
