The passage of a cold front and an extratropical cyclone was recorded in the department of Montevideo. Consequently, the Uruguayan Meteorological Institute (Inumet) issued an orange weather alert for the entire Montevideo region. According to forecasters, sustained southerly winds in the region ranged from 60 to 80 km/h. Wind gusts during the cyclone reached 90 to 120 km/h. The passage of the front caused severe sea swells along the city's waterfront. A red alert was also issued for coastal areas of the departments of Canelones, Maldonado, and Rocha.

Veneto and Piedmont experienced extreme downpours, large hail, downbursts, and damaging wind gusts. The worst damage occurred in Bovolone, in the province of Verona. A stationary thunderstorm system remained virtually stationary and dropped over 200 mm of rain in about two hours. This amount is comparable to several months of normal precipitation, all in a matter of hours. Bovolone was completely submerged. Streets, basements, garages, and cars were flooded. Strong winds toppled trees and damaged roofs. One tree fell on the Legnago-Nogara railway line. Firefighters had to rescue two people trapped in a van in the flooded area.

According to Italian meteorologists, rainfall reached 80 mm in places, and wind gusts exceeded 50 km/h. Damage was reported due to strong winds, hail, and heavy rain. Thus, several hazardous phenomena were observed during a single weather episode: extremely intense precipitation, stationary thunderstorm cells, supercells, a downsquall, hail, and squally winds.
