🚨DEVELOPING: The Mukluk Fire, which was reported shortly before noon on Monday in the backyard of a home on the Alaska Highway, has grown to about 4.5 miles and is still spreading.
The Mukluk Fire (#487) is estimated at approximately 3,000 acres as additional firefighters and equipment continue to arrive in Tok.
❗️Level 3 GO! evacuations remain in place north of the Alaska Highway from Mackenzie Trail to East 5th Street, including Red Fox Drive.
The public should stay out of the fire area and evacuation zone due to ongoing firefighting activity and dangerous conditions.

A powdery substance found in a letter at LAPD headquarters in downtown Los Angeles was determined to pose no threat, police said. An officer reportedly discovered the substance in mail from the department’s mailroom just before 7 a.m. Tuesday. L.A.
