Heavy rains accompanied by hail have been reported in Kasserine Province, causing significant damage to local agriculture. Intense precipitation over the past 24 hours has damaged staple field crops as well as olive and fruit trees. Damage has been recorded in the localities of El Hammad, At-Tabaka, Al-Bawajir, Ibrahim Az-Zahar, and Mehrezah. Crop damage levels in these areas range from 10% to 100%. The most severe losses were recorded in the At-Tabaka and El Hammad areas.

PENFIELD, New York

Several water main break sinkholes opened up around midnight on a road at the Forrest Hill condominium complex in Penfield on Sept. 14, 2026.

The homes at the complex all have evacuation orders.

Heavy rainfall caused the Kondi River to burst its banks, flooding the Sable and Bonamoussadi neighborhoods and surrounding areas. Water levels inside flooded homes rose to knee-height or higher. A pregnant woman died of electrocution in her home as a result of the disaster. Traffic in the city was paralyzed due to flooded roads and bridges, and markets ceased operations. Children were unable to get to school, as taxis and commercial transport refused to enter the flooded zones.
