🇺🇸 Deranged man with a homemade “flamethrower” barricades himself in a sex shop and burns a police dog before lighting himself on fire. The suspect was reportedly smashing car windshields in San Diego, California, before a foot pursuit led him to run into a store called Adult Emporium.

Officers tried to approach the man, but he lit himself on fire, prompting the officers to use lethal force. Police K9 Ryder suffered burn injuries to his face but was released from the vet several hours after the incident and is expected to make a full recovery.

Whale hello there! 🐋

A humpback whale has been spotted in the Delta near Rio Vista Bridge on the Sacramento River. Witnesses say the whale came pretty close to shore. This incident is similar to one of the most famous marine visitors, "Humphrey the Humpback whale," who made his way to the Sacramento River and caused a scene in Rio Vista in 1985 and 1990, before he had to be rescued and led back to the ocean.
