The Last Regiment 🪖
Forwarded from Doomsday Tradecraft
Fort Sentinel is the last organized military stronghold in the region.
Its role is not survival like Costco, or industry like Buc-ee’s—but control, enforcement, and protection of the entire trade system.

It sits on elevated terrain overlooking highways between the two hubs, acting as:

Trade route enforcer
Anti-bandit strike force base
Drone surveillance and reconnaissance center
Heavy weapons depot
Emergency evacuation shelter

🏗️ BASE LAYOUT

1. OUTER PERIMETER — “THE RING WALL”

Double-layer concrete walls reinforced with tank armor plates
Coiled barbed wire + scrap-metal anti-vehicle barriers
Automated turret nests (solar-powered + generator backup)
Mine-cleared buffer zone with controlled access lanes
Searchlight towers scanning roads 24/7

Entry points only 2:

North Gate (Costco-facing logistics gate)
South Gate (Buc-ee’s convoy inspection gate)
Forwarded from Doomsday Tradecraft
2. SECURITY ZONE — “THE DEAD ZONE”

Open kill-zone between outer wall and inner bunker line
Motion sensors + ground radar tracking movement
Drone hangars for rapid deployment UAVs
Camouflage netting over hidden sniper platforms

Purpose: nothing crosses without being seen first
Forwarded from Doomsday Tradecraft
3. CENTRAL COMMAND FORTRESS — “THE CORE”

Underground multi-level bunker system:

Level 1 — Operations

Tactical war room with holographic map table
Real-time convoy tracking between Costco Buc-ee’s
AI-assisted threat prediction systems
Radio command center linking all settlements

Level 2 — Intelligence & Surveillance

Drone footage analysis rooms
Intercepted radio communication decoding
Bandit faction tracking database
Satellite uplink station (limited but functional)

Level 3 — Emergency Command Shelter

Hardened blast-proof bunker
Life support systems for long-term lockdown
Medical triage and surgical rooms
Backup leadership continuity chamber
Forwarded from Doomsday Tradecraft
4. AIR & DRONE STRIKE PLATFORM — “SKY DECK”

Runway strip for light VTOL drones and scout aircraft
Drone swarm launch bays
Recon + strike UAV maintenance hangars
Signal jamming towers

Used for:

Convoy escort
Bandit suppression
Route mapping for safe trade expansion
Forwarded from Doomsday Tradecraft
5. ARMORY & MECH STORAGE — “THE VAULT”

Heavy weapons storage (armored vehicles, artillery remnants)
Repaired military Humvees + modified convoy tanks
Scrap-built defensive walkers (light mech support units)
Ammunition production workshop (small scale, controlled)

Strict access only through biometric clearance
Forwarded from Doomsday Tradecraft
6. LIVING QUARTERS

Barracks converted from old base housing
Rotating duty squads for convoy protection
Training yard for combat and survival drills
Mess hall with rationed supply system (Costco-linked logistics)

Morale structure is strict:

Discipline = survival stability

🔗 ROLE IN THE TRADE NETWORK

Fort Sentinel acts as the third balancing power:

Costco Fortress

Supplies food, medicine, civilian governance

Buc-ee’s Refinery

Produces and controls fuel + mobility

Fort Sentinel (this base)

Enforces order, protects routes, eliminates threats

🚛 TRADE ROUTE CONTROL SYSTEM

Fort Sentinel manages the 100 km corridor:

Checkpoint Alpha (near Costco side)
Mid-route patrol zones (drone + vehicle sweep)
Checkpoint Bravo (near Buc-ee’s side)

Convoys cannot move without:

Clearance codes from Sentinel command
Live GPS drone tracking
Armed escort assignment

⚔️ DEFENSE DOCTRINE

If attacked:

Detection first (drones + radar)
Delay engagement (kill zone traps)
Precision strike response (UAV + sniper coordination)
Mobile cleanup units deployed
Route either re-secured or temporarily locked down

No large battles inside the base—everything happens outside the walls.

🧠 TONE OF THE BASE

Fort Sentinel is not chaotic like bandit factions.

It is:

Cold
Organized
Technological remnants of old-world military structure
Slightly authoritarian but stable

It represents:

“Order maintained through control of movement.”

☠️ BANDIT FACTION — “THE RED VEIL”
Forwarded from Doomsday Tradecraft
The Red Veil are not just bandits—they are a fractured insurgent economy built from stolen fuel, hijacked convoys, and shattered settlements.

They believe the “civilized hubs” (Costco, Buc-ee’s, Regiment) are:

“monopolies of survival that must be broken.”

They do not build infrastructure.
They take over. This is a real threat in all scenarios. Rebellious groups wanting to dominate.
Forwarded from Doomsday Tradecraft
The Red Veil is decentralized but still coordinated through fear and ritual.

1. VEIL CLANS

Small roaming factions (5–30 members each)

Roles:

Convoy ambushers
Fuel raiders
Supply hijackers
Signal disruptors

Each clan operates independently but answers to supply drops and coded radio signals.

2. THE COUNCIL

No one knows exact identities.

Believed to be:

Former logistics engineers
Military deserters
Black-market fuel brokers

They coordinate:

Large-scale convoy attacks
Route sabotage
Trade disruption campaigns

Essentially the masterminds behind the attacks

3. ELITE RAIDERS

High-skill mobile strike units.

Modified high-speed vehicles with scrap armor
Fuel-injected engines tuned for speed over durability
Mounted flamers, spike rams, grappling hooks

Their job:

Hit fast, steal fuel, vanish before Ironwatch can respond.

🚗 VEHICLES & WAR MACHINES

The Red Veil fleet is brutal and improvised:

Armored school buses turned assault carriers
Fuel-tank “rolling bombs”
Spike-wheel intercept bikes
Hijacked Buc-ee’s fuel trucks converted into mobile refineries
Signal-jamming vans coated in scrap plating

📡 WAR AGAINST THE THREE HUBS

vs COSTCO

Attacks ration convoys
Attempts to disrupt food distribution
Steals medicine for leverage

vs BUC-EE’S

Primary target
Fuel theft = survival
Attempts to hijack refinery convoys mid-route

vs IronWatch

Worst enemy
Ironwatch hunts them directly
Red Veil considers Ironwatch “the chain that must be broken”

Eventually, after 5-10+ years. Things will expand into this, especially if theres no signs of society returning to normal.

People will begin choosing which side they fight for, and which side has the most supplies.

The Buc-ees and Costco and Military Complex need to forge better alliances, better trade routes to be able to work around an expanding invasion.

If the enemy were to focus one base, they could take it over.

During this time its crucial that people begin to forge better relationships and alliances or you and your group will fail

(Of course these images aren’t realistic on how the civilization grows, but it should help showcase what needs to be focused on for each group.)
For anyone who has played Fallout 4, think of the small communities joining a larger one, and expanding your alliances.

Think of all the 🟦🟩 faction movies with apocalypse scenarios, and having groups.

They always follow the same timeline.

SHTF

One group grows
A second group grows
A third group grows
Evil groups grow
