GERING, Nebraska A major arterial route in Gering was unexpectedly and abruptly closed Monday for emergency street repairs. Shortly after noon, city officials announced U St bw 13th & 17th St was closed immediately for work expected to last through Monday, June 15. BEULAH, North Dakota A train derailed on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks in Beulah, police said Tuesday morning. The derailment caused some intersection closings around Beulah. County Road 19 and Highway 49 crossings are open. Police said no injuries or hazardous materials are involved. Public safety is not at risk.
