HOFFMAN, Minnesota WILD WIND: A train was derailed last night in Hoffman, MN when 80 mph gusts plowed through. This west-central Minnesota town took quite the hit, as the really intense straight line winds came in from South Dakota around 1:00 am.

CHICAGO, Illinois Brittany Catanzaro was sitting on the patio of her North Beverly home over Memorial Day weekend when she heard a loud sound. Catanzaro compared the sound to a “big metal dumpster” falling from the sky. “It’s almost like someone dropped that from 10 feet in the air.” The loud booms have been reported across Beverly & Morgan Park. Neighbors have reported houses shaking & rattling windows, with the mystery noise so loud it’s woken people at night. The sound has been reported for months, with no concrete explanation yet found by neighbors, community leaders & city officials. Adrienne Gibbs said the booms have become a frequent occurrence over the past few months.
