Visa and Mastercard is now forbidden in cuba. This has changed in the last 48 hours. All shops are only accepting cash. The shops they do have are european owned and now can not sell food to anyone unless in cash. So, no one can help cubans with foreign bank cards anymore. On the ground, its mayhem and people are going crazy. The banks very rarely have cash available, and when available, that is limited to 2000 Cup per withdrawal transaction (which equates to 4 usd)
