PICKENS, South Carolina
A major water main break Sunday morning caused widespread water pressure issues across the City of Pickens and led to the formation of a large sinkhole that trapped a vehicle near AnMed Cannon Hospital.
According to the City of Pickens, the break occurred on Acker Road, where the damaged water main caused the roadway to collapse, creating the sinkhole and resulting in damage to at least one vehicle.
