Lagos, Nigeria Millions of electricity consumers across Lagos have been thrown into darkness on Sunday after EKEDP lost supply from Nigeria's national grid. In a service interruption notice issued on Sunday, EKEDP said it lost supply from the national grid at exactly 13:49hrs on Sunday, June 28, 2026, resulting in a widespread disruption of electricity supply across its franchise area. The distribution company said the outage affected its entire network, leaving customers across Lagos and adjoining communities without electricity.
