🇺🇸 Small aircraft crashes shortly after takeoff at Chandler Airport in Arizona.
A Piper Cherokee 180C aircraft (N9062J) crashed shortly after taking off from Chandler Municipal Airport in Arizona, prompting an emergency response at the scene. The aircraft went down moments after departure. Air traffic control (ATC) recordings capture controllers attempting to re-establish communication with the pilot in the moments leading up to the crash.
Authorities have confirmed that the pilot died in the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
