PARACHUTE, Colorado A coal train has derailed in the area of the 72 south of I70. HWY 6 is currently closed in both directions west of the 72, as well as CORD 300 by Una Bridge. Also, out of caution, the Boat Ramp is currently closed to keep floaters from going down river. Emergency crews are on scene trying to sort it out. Initial reports are that the derailed cars were empty.

Video from Anna Johnston in Spokane, Washington shows traffic jammed up as residents continue to evacuate due to the Old Trails Fire. The fire continues to spot and grow due to very strong winds.
The Dwight Merkel outdoor Sports complex that was full for Saturday activities has been forced to evacuate. Evacuations now run as far north as Rutter Parkway. This is a wildland urban interface nightmare. The fire is over 2,000 acres.
