In the municipality of Constanza, La Vega Province, an atmospheric phenomenon occurred—a sudden wind vortex that local residents compared to a tornado. A strong air current struck the Arroyo Arriba sector of Puerto Rico, damaging several homes and greenhouse structures used for agricultural production. Residents described moments of panic as strong gusts of wind unexpectedly swept through the area. According to preliminary reports, there were no injuries. Local media are calling the phenomenon a "remolino de viento"—a wind vortex. There is no official confirmation yet that it was a tornado in the meteorological sense.
