SIERRA COUNTY, Calif. (KOLO) - On Saturday, Jan. 24, a pregnant ewe on the north side of the Sierra Valley in Plumas County was killed, according to a Sierra County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
“The wolf attack occurred even though the livestock producer had implemented non-lethal deterrents, such as donkeys, and had closely monitored animals throughout the night,” the post said.
The carcass was found 100 yards from a home.
