PARENTS RAISE PRIVACY CONCERNS OVER META SMART GLASSES AT BEACHES
Parents taking young children to the beach are raising concerns about people wearing Meta smart glasses capable of discreetly recording video. One father said an app alerted him to four pairs of Meta glasses within roughly 30 feet while he was at the beach with his 6-year-old child. While the glasses are also ordinary sunglasses and can have legitimate uses, the ability to record without an obvious camera being visible has sparked concerns about privacy and the potential for inappropriate filming in public places.
