Union Pacific said about 30 cars derailed just before 2 p.m. Tuesday near Santa Rosa golf course, and investigators still have not determined what caused it.

Statement from Union Pacific:

“At on Tuesday, approximately 30 Union Pacific rail cars derailed about two miles east of Santa Rosa, New Mexico. The train crew was not injured. The incident is under investigation.”

CONWAY, South Carolina

On Tuesday, in the 1551 Depot Road area, outside New South Lumber Company, a train derailed.

WMBF went to the scene and said minor traffic blockages for drivers looking to cross Depot Road.

A witness, Johnny Bridges, told WMBF the ground shook and “it was pretty bad.”

PUTNAM CO, Indiana

According to a post from the Putnam Co Sheriff's Office, a sinkhole formed on a road near the sheriff’s dept.

The area wasn’t very well lit, and a motorcyclist plunged right into the sinkhole.

The post indicated that the motorcyclist was okay.

“The motorcyclist could not see it before it was too late, diving straight down into the hole,” the post said. “Thankfully he wasn’t going very fast.”

Gurugram, India

A massive section of the service road on the Delhi-Jaipur highway near IFFCO Chowk caved in on Tuesday afternoon, prompting authorities to shut the stretch to traffic after a crater nearly 10ft wide and 15ft deep opened up.

According to GMDA executive engineer Bhim Arya, a major sewer line of GMDA runs beneath the service road and its damage caused the road to sink.
