Cook Inlet, Alaska

The ADEC said Tues it did not know the source, size or origin of an oily sheen a pilot reported on Cook Inlet waters Mon.

In a release from a Unified Command consisting of the USCG, ADEC & Hilcorp Alaska, responders said they saw no sign of the oil sheen Tues in a flyover or with an oil spill response vessel that used an Infrared camera to search the water.

The DEC said response to the incident will remain on-going from both the air & the sea and that it is still working to identify the cause of the spill.

The spill was located near the Spark platform, an oil and gas platform on the west side of Cook Inlet that has not operated since the 1990's and is owned by Hilcorp Alaska.

Hilcorp spokesperson said that the platform was plugged to prevent leaks & abandoned by the previous operator in 2009.

“It’s unclear whether that’s the cause of this spill.”

Once a sufficient amount of material is in they Shake Out Rain in-between towers within their Overlapping Fields - Pay Attention - Pretty much all rain between towers

Western US Watering Ops

Canadian Vortex Tail basically acted as a Big Sweep kicking up a huge wall of air - Spray Ops through the center yesterday were breaking that tail open - Creating a Syphon of sorts - Creating a Major Air Channel to begin to flow from in-between the Two Vortexes in The Pacific - This opens up a huge channel for moisture to get into - Where they then mix Smoke & Spray Ops and Shake Out Rain in-between Towers Overlapping Fields
