OWOSSO, Michigan
Several intersections were closed in the City of Owosso early Thursday morning after a train derailed.
The City of Owosso says up to 6 rail cars were overturned and were blocking intersections on several roadways. Those streets included Main St (M-21), Cedar St and Chipman St.
The affected rail cars were carrying soybeans, and there are no hazardous materials for the public to worry about.
First responders worked alongside railroad representatives to clean up spilled soybeans and remove the overturned railcars from the roadways.
